don't nail into trees. the landing should be long enough for you bike but the bigger the better/easier. I'd say it should be like 10 feet long and make steep enough so it doesn't hurt as much and break your bike. it's pretty simple, just use common sense.

i use to have a hardtail and i could do just as big of drops and all that stupid kinda shit on it, and now i have a scream and i still do the same stuff. weird, kinda didnt make any sense but o well.

i think im gonna make it about 4 feet tall ( so then the drop will only be 8 feet) and about ten long

basically you first want to see how much speed you can carry into it, how much landing room you have, and anything else. then you build the bridge; i would make that drop either at 90 deg or a roll off, DO NOT MAKE IT AT AN UPWARD ANGLE!. dont nail the trees, rather put supports nex to the trees and anchor them inta the ground and to the tree with rope or some shit. put it up and WHOOP DE FUCKIN DOO!

k well i already nailed into the trees, so theres some bad karma but it gonna be fucking hard cause the flat distance of the drop is 25 feet, so upramp , 25 ft of slighty downward pointing ladder then the drop... the hard part is we are using two 25 foot pine trees, so each one weighs about 400 lbs. ... gonna be fucking hard to get them up there

thats a sick looking drop but on a HT, from experience it can go real bad real quick unless you land nearly perfectly. Id say make the landing 10 feet lonf anf 4 feet high, that should do you right

i know it sucks but he has a hard tail, its mad hard to do big drops on HT's with out getting hurt. I have the fractured bones and dented shins to prove it
