"drop episode" kooks/newschoolers newshow

I still disagree with the way this has been presented but I think its a good idea.
Think about it, think of everyone who got pissed off, called these dudes idiots or whatever. We got these two responses from it, as well as a few good responses in the comments:

They want you to get pissed. When you're pissed you're more likely to give your thoughts on it.
There have already been some points mentioned in the comments of the video that I actually never heard of or thought about. Once you get past the "these dudes are idiots" posts, there are actually some people backing up what they think.
It's easy to make a thread saying the bunch is the sickest crew in skiing. Almost everyone will agree with you. But saying they aren't that great gets people heated. It gets people to actually share their views. Wanting to prove these guys wrong and stuff.
I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong, definitely stupid. But this is just how I see it. It's essentially trolling but in a good way.

Just wanted to say that we value all of your input and will seriously consider each and every suggestion we have seen. We started this show from scratch and we originally posted here in the forums a few times looking for ideas/suggestions on how to structure our show. It saddens me that nobody felt the need to respond until we literally grabbed your attentions by expressing unpopular opinions, and now some of you are saying that this could be cool but someone else should do it.
I assure you that we here at the drop take what we are doing very seriously, and we will make a show that can be adopted and endorsed by the ns community. We're obviously off to a rocky start but we saw this coming from the beginning. We're glad that we have heard from you guys what you don't want to see, and we can promise only improvement moving forward.

That's kinda what's wrong with us. We don't back ourselves up. Just kinda point fingers. Instead of hating on these dudes, we should be arguing about what they say and use it to voice our own opinions.
Forums are about discussion and conversation. This is one way(and a great way) to get people into it. It was just taken too personally and everyone got up in arms without really backing up their opinions.

I've always wanted to tell that story, and I thought it was captured well.
You guys are over-crucifying something new. I'll guarantee the first episodes of skateline / hateline sucked. Even a lot of what I try to do on camera turns out like shit at first. It can really take a while to get into your groove and find something that works.
Everyone forgets the early days and only looks at the polished product they currently see.
Like... the first episode of hateline is pretty bad compared to the current product.
What absolutely DOES need to happen is way more interesting series like this. So I support people who have a dream giving it a shot, because we need this bad.
I've even tried to start stepping up to the plate. PLUG: We have four episodes of On The Road we filmed this summer, which will be launching in the 4 weeks up to IF3 - where we're doing to do about two more in real-time there.
IF YOU HAVE A DREAM TO DO THIS TRY IT. If you end up sucking at it, then at least you tried. If you're good - we will pay you and support you.
