There's a huge thread on driving drunk and i wanted to ask a question but it'll get lost amongst the angry newschoolers, which is fine, because they are angry at the dude who says he drives drunk all the time.

ANYWAYS.

Who here drives high a lot? I smoke twice to three times a day and stay active and doing things so i drive around stoned all day and night pretty much. I find it has little to no effect on how safe i drive. When im stoned i can stay alert and pay attention and i dont lose my motor skills. It's nothing like alcohol so what are your feelings on driving high? I feel that if you are experienced with pot and you don't act stupid and let your mind run away from you(ie. getting the giggles, staring at shit for long periods of time, freakin out) then you can drive.

na man some people freak out when they smoke, i know a couple. I think that comes from just not being in situations where you are required to act normal so you act stupid and lose your head when you smoke. Try smoking before going someplace with lots of people, lots of sober people. Get high and go to the movies, or work, or school, or to your soccer game or something. you get the idea, try it though it might help.

almost all the time i drive stoned, me or my friend i trust, but im always alert no matter who is driving. ive only been way to stoned to drive once, but that was like the 3rd time i smoked ever, and i wasnt driving at the time.

smoking does effect your driving, but, just about everyone notices that they're reflexes are off so they drive much more carefully and slowly which actually makes them a safer driver than when they're sober. when i'm high i drive exactly the speed limit, no more no less. when i'm sober i rip huge ebrake turns at 40mph in fields.

ive been pulled over high before, scariest thing ever. i just smoke in a diffrent car and was driving home and my plates were expired. so i got a ticket, the cop didnt notice

i drive stoned quite a bit, it does make those long trips easier. there have been a few times where i've been like "whoa, someone else drive, i'm not feelin it tonight" and thats fine. just know when you;re good and when you're not

I can't drive more then 30 minutes without smoking. Driving + Smoking is like carrots and peas.

haha tripping & driving is funny man, I can drive fine and all but I get so damn happy it's like i'm walking on sunshine, usually just perma-smiled and listening to trippy music real loud, headlights coming at me kinda blind my swollen pupils but it's all good. Reminds me of just last Friday night, i drank a batch of mushroom tea wiht 5 g's in it, had a good time!

Driving high is like a must. Its the only time that you have where no one is watching you or anything. Usually we just drive around and smoke until we figure out what to do. There is nothing wrong with driving high, those commercials are bullshit.

I hate it because it looks like it should be called the Prison Shower.

seriously I don't think it affects that much, all depends of how you are stoned after 1 small joints it gets you just more in control, I mean you're just more into it. and the more it goes the more you're dangerous. But normaly when I am stoned and I drive I just check back like 4 times the thing I have to do just to be sure everything is ok. and getting into the video game mode is great!

wow, there seems to be a lot of people who are addicted to weed in this thread. It's pretty sad when you cannot go through life without being high. Is that how sad many of your lives are?

as for the driving, all of you have admited that it affects your driving. Yo usay you drive more carefully because you know your reactions and reflexs are messed. Thats like saying as long as I am only a little drunk, it won't be too bad to drive because I will actually be more careful.

marijuana is not addicting, not one bit, so i would be surprised if anyone on this site is addicted to it.

furthermore, being stoned makes you concentrate and it makes you paranoid about getting in an accident or getting pulled over, so you actually do drive better, its not the least bit comparable to driving drunk

what you mean is that it does not develope physical addictions. Anything can develope into a mental addiction though. People who get high multiple times a day, multiple times a week, just because they feel better than normal are addicted.

alright dude, well the ultimate test in whether one can drive safely while blazed would probably be their road test while acquiring their license... I was high as fuck and did great on it, only got 4 points.

you can smoke multiple times a day and not be addicted to pot, thats bullshit. normally every few monthes i dont smoke for like two weeks straight just to take a break and i have no problem doing it. It all depends on the type of person you are.
