The website is kinda vague, because at some spots, you have the choice between 2 roads.

Has anyone done it before? quebec to bc?

go through ottawa and take highway 17 west, and from there continue in a western direction, there arent really any other forks in the road except at winnipeg, but both take you back to the highway again.

Hey Julien, I did the drive from Whistler back to TO a year ago - I did 5 SOLID days of driving. 14 hours Whistler to Calgary first day, 12 or so to Brandon Manitoba second, 10 or so to Thunder Bay, then 7 or so to Sault St Marie and 7 to Toronto. I think you are dreaming with 3 days, let alone 4.

I took the TransCanada the whole way as well - there is a route across from Ottawa to towards the Sault that you should take - going into the states is silly from Montreal as you have to go around Southern Ontario and it would take more time, unless you have some sort of mission there.

Highway 17 through Ontario is a way nicer drive than 11, but both of them meet up in Thunder Bay anyhow. From there, its the same highway all the way to Calgary, then you have some options again as you go through the rockies. Most should be ok this time of year.

omg, this girl in my class thought she could drive from Van to Mami in 1 day.

It took me 20 mins to convice her that it is not possibly.

ok. from montreal take the 401 to highway 416, then the 416 to ottawa, then you get on the 417 west which turns into the 17. follow the 17 until you get to the 1. then follow the 1 to vancouver.

there ya go.

if you fly standby, it can be quite cheap. that's the way to go, if you don't mind hanging around in an airport all day.

stick that in your pipe and smoke it!

And yes try to take westjet, 6 hour flight, cuz I heard that goin through saskatchewan and manitoba, most of alberta as well, is a fucking boring thing to do.

Gravity sucks

i am doing that drive on saturdaaaaaaay!

and apparently its faster to go through the states, so so waht mapquest says

far too fly to stay stationary...

c'mon take it on! do it straight through, i've done orangeville to quebec city then back to tremblant and then to ottawa in 22, orangeville to austin texas in 24 and orangeville to galveston texas in like 27!

its an awesome challenge.

If there's more than one person in the car, take shifts driving and go non stop. Not even for gas.

I've driven vancouver to Calgary a bunch of times. The rockies are stupid gorgeous. Makes me want to pull my skis out everywhere.

Take the train?

Have you ever looked at VIA rail prices? Its like getting your wallet pulled out of your ass really fast over and over. Reamed to death by credit card.
