Drivers test

turn your head at your mirrors at every lane change, even if you don't look at them, just make it look like you do. Also, when the light goes yellow, don't go for it.

Make indeed sure you watch/pretend to watch your mirrors, also don't drive to fast, but also not to slow.Just don't be nervous and do it =) Good luck!

be gentle on your brakes, i got points off on my test for braking too hard. i still passed, but if i had done other shit wrong it could have been the difference between license/no license.

show up really early and learn the area around where you will be taking the test.

and in some states there is this little piece of paper you have to bring that you and your parent sign that says you have driven 20+ hours on your permit. dont forget that. its an auto-fail if you do.

dress respectable, be nice to the person giving the test, accelerate/decelerate smoothly. just show that you are in control of the car.

dude its easy as hell. a couple tips

- always check your mirrors a ton. rearview and side. esp when back up. (paralle park and 3 point turn)

- stop before the stop sign then inch up. stay around the speed limit as well

- just make sre you can parralle park (spelling?)

good luck

make sure your ebrake works i took my test in my moms beamer and her e brake is beat and i almost failed before i could take the test

pretend the test guy isnt there, relax. dont fuck up all the basic shit. one last thing :whenever you "look both ways" make sure you crane your fucking neck to make it super obvious to the test guy that your looking both ways. thats the only reason i failed my first time is because he couldnt tell i was looking both ways because i didnt crane my neck way the fuck out.

dont be nervous be relaxed, dont be mean to the instructor and dont give any lip. Listen to what the instuctor says and pay attention to signs

go drive as much as you can around the area before you take the test to get familiar with it. parallel park on the busiest street in the area so you can get over the jitters of being nervous about that. make sure you stop completely. make sure the radio is off and make sure the first thing you do before you start the vehicle is buckle up. just basic stuff. it really is a breeze.

Bring your iPod and ask your instructor if you can listen to some driving music and put this on:

make sure your mom/dad who drove you there doesn't still have their phone's blue tooth connected. when i took mine my mom's phone conversation clicked in when i started the car and the lady flipped out. no points off but id wanna avoid that. Anyways just exaggerate looking around on lane changes and drive you will be fine.

the hardest part for me was all the stuff inside the car, when i learned nobody tought me all that so when she asked i just kinda winged it but still passed. and dont overthink it.

throw it into neutral and revv it up super high.... then look the person straight in the eye and say "alright, NOW we're ready"

and then take off

make exaggerated movements when you are checking your blindspots or mirrors. if you use your eyes they won't be able to see that and claim you weren't checking probably while you were.

and back into the parking spot when you start, so it gives you a relaxed start.

and just be friendly to the driver instructor. handshake maybe, ask how the day has been, tell them they can adjust the heat if they find it too hot. sometimes stuff like that can be the difference between a near pass or near fail.

if it's on a course, make sure to watch out for the left turn from a one-way onto a two-way. lots of people failed in my town because they weren't thinking.

make sure your car interior is stained with the sweet aroma of marijuana, and when the examiner asks if you smell skunk cabbage, tell them "no, thats reefer dawg". little things like that can make the difference man.

wait for the car to pull back at a stop sign, stop at all yellow lights, never go anything over the speed limit, it's something like 5pts per mph over if you do. also check mirrors and blindspots a lot, take curves slowly, be smooth, and bring some alcohol to ease the stress

So apparently you failed. When rescheduling your test, make sure it's early! I failed my first test as well, but the guy was being a complete dick. I got 15 points off because I didn't move over for a cop while I was in a shared turn lane. Way to many cars were coming for me to turn, and I obviously couldn't just back out into my previous lane, because a cop was flying by. Then other completely stupid shit. I took my other test somewhere else, first thing in the morning, and got 0 points off, just 1 week later, with minimal driving inbetween.

So yeah, go somewhere else and go early.

Drivers tests are really easy, way easier than it ought to be. I know I drove like shit during mine, (i got nervous) I even hopped the curb on my parallel park, luckily there wasn't a sidewalk or it would have been an insta-fail.

NO ! he wanted to but i rolled the windows up. Hence, pissed off test administrator. Which in turn = me failing the first time... haha
