So I just turned 18 and I dont have my license yet, yes I know im a loser but I really just never needed it because I rode my bike everywhere and never needed a car, but now I do. So im wondering if anyone knows what I would have to do to get my license in Oregon. I read a few things online but they were like all for people that are under 18, so I was curious what I would have to do. Anyone? +k

you probably have to go through the same things under 18ers need to do as far as classes. if google doesnt help call the secretary of state

yea thats what I figuerd but then I heard that I dont have to do my 6 months and stuff and I just take the test and get my license but I wasent sure.

I know in CO you can just walk into the DMV, take the written test, and they will give you a license. Not sure if its the same for OR, but worth a shot. you could always just ask the people at the DMV. try to get someone that actually speaks english

ok so i just read up more on the dmv and it says that you can either go in and do drivers ed before or you can just go and try to get your license. All you have to do is just go in and do the sight test and some other dumb things and then they do a behind the wheel test right then, should I take drivers ed first? or should i just go for my license?

Do you know how to drive properly? Ive driven for about 2 years, thought I could just go and take the road test, failed miserably because of small things that I didnt know. Now Im going to take an hour class to learn the "proper" ways... GL

well yea i mean the basics. and here we dont really have huge roads and lots of traffics and complecated driving shit. I mean the first time I drove was prolly when I was 14 so I mean I have the basics down. it has a list of what they grade on so maybe I should just review it and shit.

just google search your towns DMV and give em a call. be prepared to wait on hold for a good half hour or 45 minutes though. those places are always understaffed
