Drinking in the weekends...

I don't live in the US but I've heard that there is not so much drinking at Saturdays and fridays?

here in norway its like crazy... it is completely normal that the kids start drinking at the age of 13-14 (I do not say this is positive though) Anyway we have a well known phenomen called "helgefylla" which directly translated in english means "weekend-drunkness" I was just wondering, does this appear in the U.S to? I think it is common in Sweden 4sure... maybe more there (but thats because they got Jon O )

It is true that americans drink less than others...in my opinion....BUT i think if you go to the right places people will be drinking more than just on friday and saturday...go to a college campus

haha yes, yes you do. well, for the most part anyways.

at the beginning of semester i got drunk 4 of 8 nights with at least some alcohol comsumption on 3 of the other 4 nights. calmed down a little bit after that, but i still got drunk 1-2 times per weekend until midterms hit, then it was 1 night per week, and i only got drunk once during the 14 day final exam period. oh, and go to ubc (vancouver)

well the drinking age is 21.....but that stops basically no one in high school from drinking most weekends

yah up in canada were pretty solid drinkers everyone i know gets drunk at least once a week either friday or saturday and then if u go to college or uni then its like twice more durint the week or at least once so therfore i can conclude we drink at least twice a week

Yea, we definitely have this helgefylla in america. It just happens at an older age. I would say at least 90% of the times I get drunk is on the weekend. Maybe a thursday night if I don't have class or work on friday. And it happens once or twice every week for me, barring some rare illness or exams / essays. More frequently during time off.
