Drilling trough glass

why? you'll crack it.

you can do it with a regular bit, spade bit is preferable, but make sure it's really sharp. and don't push, go slowly. and get some baby oil or something and lube it a lot. and you can put a ring of hot glue on either side of the glass where you're drilling, it will help prevent cracking

 
I'm assuming he is making a bong.

I saw a guy make a bong out of a Jim Beam bottle. It ripped hard.

its funny to me that i knew what you were trying to do as soon as i read the thread title. haha my friend tried with one like the orange beaker, but it cracked so he smashed it.
 
im trying to steal a beaker from my bio room at the end of the year...i have it like partially hidden and the end of they year im snatching it and running.
 
hahaha fuck I really should have put 2 and 2 together. I feel really dumb for not seeing that right away. I was thinking along the lines of stealing something or anything along the lines of breaking in somewhere.
 
that bong would be absolutly sweet, but brakers are increadably fragle and trying to drill threw that one will most likely crack it, or worse it will explode from the force. I sugest getting a tempered titanium glass bit and wear goggles. Use super gule where you want to drill the hole to add some strength. Make the space covered by the glue larger then the bit, the simply remove the glue when your done
 
holy shit mike no way. i just stole the beaker with the blue stuff in it today froom bio. im doing the same thing
 
this shit will not work.. i tried this once a week at work for two months, and it works great until it starts to cool down, then it just shatters. actually its more like fucking exploding because its like the whole thing cracking at once.
 
i think if you put duct tape down, that'll help hold it down, but then again i could be thinking of something completely different
