Does anyone here drift, not like actual jap racing, just around empty parking lots and shit, over the past few weekends me and my friends have gotten into alot, does any one know how to really swing the car out further, im just really boerd and its kinda rainy so me and some friends might go fuck around,

yea yeah i know, but i always turn off traction control, go into the turn fast, let off the accelorator, begin the turn, punch it, then the car just whips around and starts spinning, its actually alot of fun to be in the car,

you need rwd then what i used to do im my mustang was drop it into 2nd to get the wheels to spin then get the back to kick out then let off alittle and just fuck with the gas to hold it in position. kinda hard to explain on the internets. or using the e brake i heard works i never have tried though. its all about feel and being extremely comfortable in your car

your turning your wheels too much to get it started and your giving it too much gas once the wheels are spinning you just gotta keep them doing that pretty much but that doesnt mean floored. you just gotta find the happy medium

yeah i love drifting. my friend does it a ton, so much so that his e break is entierly useless.

its definitely a good time

if its rearwheel drive i hope you dont use the e-brake. use the foot brake, that starts a brake-stand. smoke the tires and go from there. if its front whel drive go into the turn fast.. e- brake it. then crank the wheel the opposite direction. that gets you a 360

It helps a lot if you brake going into the corner to unweight the rear end. Also, steer slightly away from the corner just before you get to it, then turn in sharply to break traction and bring the rear end out. Then it's all about balancing power and steering to hold the drift. The e-brake's always fun, but that's not quite as respectable and it's really only good for tighter corners anyway. If you want more tips you should just join the car cult.

my friend would bring his old civic onto the lake when it was frozen. that was pretty intense drifting, I was pretty sketched about it too

Ok, this is a warning to you all that like to go do this in parking lots. I know a few cops and they will all arest any one who does anything like that in a parking lot. Bam just like that and you will be spending the night in jail.

im not sure if they do this for drifting, but here around ontario if you get caught racing they litterally CRUSH your car.

umm if ur driving on private property you do NOT NEED to uphold standard laws. ie if u own 3 acres of property you could drive 200 km an hour all day and theres nothign they can do

its all about the faint. Its hard and extreamly dangerous. You turn the steering wheel in the opposite direction of where you want to drift. Do this all of a sudden and very fast, then turn the steering wheel into the drift. This takes alot of pratice, and have if you don't have a stiff suspention or you have a high center of gravity you will flip the car over.

damn, k here goes a briefer version of what i just said, bear in mind that this is silly dangerous and vicious on your car, its hard on clutch engines tires suspension brakes lsd, everything.

I use two main types in combination, feint and clutch kick

Clutch kick

I'll explain this first as its what i use the most, to do this enter a corner at a decent speed in either 2nd or 3rd, as the car is turning and you feel lateral force pulling the car to the outside, step on the clutch and bring the revs up until your in boost etc, the suddenly pop the clutch while turning the wheel slighty sharper to the inside of the corner, followed by the opposite direction to counter your rear end sliding out. This will cause the rear wheels to lose traction and spin to the outside, now turn the wheel just enough to control your line and feather the throttle too much and you will spin to little and your tires will catch and throw you straight. As you get better begin doing this earlier in the corner until your doing a proper drift.

Feint, I use this in combo normally with a clutch kick, to do this as your in the corner and feel lateral pull to the outside turn sharply to the outside, then quickly to the inside of the corner this transfers the weight so fast that the rear of the car will slip out, now do the same shit with throttle and steering as before.

here is a shitty example of late clutch kick/power over drifting, i was too scared to go totally through the corner as it was an open road.

to slide a car one way is to go through the corner on the gas at high rpm's then let off the gas quickly, this puts the weight on the front tires and allows the back to swing out. to do an actual drift you actually need a pretty powerfull car and you can start the slide how i said or with the e brake, or by turning the opposite direction of the corner then quickly whipping the car into the corner then give it gas. or if your car is crazy powerfull you can just give it gas and the tires will spin to start your slide. and you have to be smooth, if you are jerking the wheel all over the place as fast as you can you can over correct or fuck up easily.

and take off every thing like abs and traction control, mabye even take out the power brake fuse and power steering fuse if your car isnt crazy heavy, the less the car is doing for you the better.

but drifting is sorta gay, go to a track and learn how to actually drive where it takes real skill, drifting is a good skill to have, but i dont see why people get so into it.

If you have enough power this is how I suggest to do it.

come into the turn fast, cut it & rip the e-brake to break traction the power over and use the throttle to adjust the slide.

Don't use the fucking e-brake! Learn how to heel toe downshift. Once you get that down, try drifting. If you don't know what a heel toe downshift is, maybe you shouldn't try drifting.

^ i didnt say it was, i said it was a simple, poor example of clutch kick and power over to show how the car gets its ass out, i have better stuff but on tape, as in the car cult if you think im full of shit.

nope you still need to follow ever law that is in effect for you city/county/state/country. If a cop sees you doing something in your car that is putting inocent people at risk of deth or injury they can arrest you.

fucking stupid shit unless u know exactly wat to do

my friend crashed his car two weeks ago doing that shit

wat made it funny was it was an undercover cop car ahahahaserves him right for driving unlicensed in his dads audi

ARE YOU SERIOUS? That seems a little ridiculous.

You have to be careful because this kid I know got a reckless op. for difting in his minivan(lots of snow) in a parking lot.

not true, if you do a brakestand in your own drivway you can get reckless driving, ive seen it happen b4.
