How does this sound... the possibility of a resort that is all strictly trick-based and trick-oriented. Like you come to the mountain, the resort actually, and all you will find is terrain parks and bc kickers. This idea isn't too far off. I mean if you think about it, it could easily be done. And what would be cooler than that, just going to a resort where there is no such thing as a slope you just ski down. There would always be jumps and rails, pipes, quarterpipes, bc heaven, everything you could ever imagine and hope for.

please feel free to comment and wet your own appetite on this idea.

that would be awesome, but it wouldn't happen because mountain would lose too much money not having stuff for beginners or people who just like to ski around

 
yea but everything can be adapted. yea sure there could be a park for beginners. plus you can't really say that as a resort you can't change in order to mold to the needs of the industry. hell if it was up to me i would do whatever it would have to take to make things work

i do understand how difficult it is to maintain. but look at the success places like mammoth and park city have had with so much terrain park stuff included. and they maintain that stuff like crazy. im just saying that the idea is possible

i was recently thinking of an idea like this, except it was a normal hill, with a park and all, but on the groomers they had tables and rails set up randomly everywhere. would make the park rats ski around the hill more

at ski sundwon there is stuff liek that on the bunny hil there is a rail and some rollers and on one trail there is a 60 foot shot gun then a rainbow then a trapaziod and on another trail there is a tabel and at the bottom there is a big air there are also many other rails liek an s rail but are not put out cuz no one can do them around here

 
I'd go there :)

Maintenance would be sky high! But I bet some riders would be willing to work there for slightly cheaper, just for skiing on their breaks and days off? I would.

My friends and I were setting up a old a abandoned ski hill to be one big terrain parks. I mean it's only got 6 trails and it's a really small east coast hill, but we had complete control, we ever have a old snowmobil trail groomer. After finishing about half of the first run the RCMP came. Told us that we were going to be arrested if we came back. the land belongs to the government and they're affraid someone will get hurt and sue.

It sucked plus my snowmobile isn't registered so I got a fine.

Could have been worse, we have 3 rails that we stole from a skate park, they could have found those.

i think that eventually you will see one of those, although i did hear that bear mountain in california was almost all park - of course i could be entirely wrong.
