kkk so I plan on having dreads, my hair is finally long enough. anyone on ns ever got dreads? how much does it cost (cdn) or should I do it myself? how? any advice of any sort would be appreciated. thanks.
 
i didnt know that a barber could like make you have dreads all the hippies in taos just like rub honey in their hair an shit
 
dreads are fukin sik. i dunno anything about them tho. i think u like put wax in there and like never wash it for a while or something
 
I went to a place to get my dreads done...it hurts like a fucking bitch dude. Most painful hour of my life. mine wouldnt even stay dreaded for more than a month. i'm too white. anyway they backcomb your hair (like combing the hair towards your head) and then stick wax in it. i would not suggest doing it yourself

my bro tried it and looked like his head had spikey shitpiles on it.

dont do it urself unles u no wat ur doing i had a friend do it himself and a frind get it done the one who got it done still has sick dreads the one who did it himself is recovering from a head shave
 
i had it done back in highschool and it was cool then...not so cool now. you dont wash you hair and if you do you have to use this special shampoo. i had my friend do it. dont go to a barber. have a hippie do it, they'll do it right. also the only way i could fix them once my mom decided enough was enough..so did i because my pillow starting getting rauncy..is to shave your head (at least thats what i had to do). so my head was shaved and i then found out that i had crazy ass bumps in my head. apparently my parents dropped me or something? who knows. good luck man
 
oh yeah...its kinda a NS rule...Newb's dont have pubes..once you loose your Newb status, then, you shall have pubes..but for you, you, you will have a fire crotch
 
I've had dreads a twice for a total of 3 years. I miss them, yet they're sooo much fucking work for the first 6 months.

The first time i got them done a baber shop, she charge like 150. She did a terrible job. Just loaded on the wax, and it took like 3 hours.

The second time my mom did them, it took like an hour and a half. Looked way better, and less dirty cause she didnt load on the wax.

Your hair needs atleast 5 inches long. It helps if your hair is curly and frizzy (like an affro) Ive given dreads to people with smooth hair and it didnt turn out to well. For the first time I got a perm done, but after I had dreads my hair became pritty untame naturally.

The thing about dreads is if you're willing to spend time on the they look awesome, but if you're lazy they look dirty. For the first 2 months you need to spend almost 20 mins daily on them.

The most common mistake people make is loading on the wax, at first you do need some. But dreads are about having lots of knots not being a greaser.

I've given 4 people dreads. They all looked sick, but most of them didnt work out becasuse they didnt put the time into them.

I recomend buying a metal flee comb those work faster and dont break easily.

When you get your dreads expect pain.Back combing hurts but your heads gets used to it.

Lastly dreads do give you some long term damage to your hair. I didnt want to shave me head, so I combed mine out, it took like 5 hours. And everyone was telling me I was going bald and shit like that. My hair is now recovering like a year later.
