I was thinking about getting the drakeboinay surreal for south america this summer and switzerland in january...any thoughts, they look pretty sick.

 
wow you must be loaded. south america, swiss skiing, and db skis. nice. but i would give them a try. they have nice specs and should be light and durrable because of the carbon.

thats my problem...i can't find (doubt there is) a place where i can demo the DBs.

and im not that rich, just found some good deals/interning with UN in geneva.

 
yeah they give you a deal if you are a patroller or something like that.....i wanted a pair, but i also never got a chance to demo them, and the 4frnts were a lot cheaper

i dont know if its right, but i think i read on their site somewhere that if you are in CO you can email them and they will set up a demo for you. but now that i think of it, i dont know. it seems that they would be going into a lot of trouble for one demo if that were the case. you should check it out.

DB skis...soooo hot right now, if only they made an equal height tip and tail.

no one can make true twin tips except for line unless they get permission from line. line has a patent pending or maybe they have the patent already, not sure, but either way, they are patenting the true twin tip concept. and why do DB skis, get 4frnts, such a good ski everywhere. and cheaper

go the db skis, they rock. What could be better than getting a ski custom made for you? Not paying for it? Yes! Just dont trash it, and get the flex the way you like. I doubt demoing them would help that much, unless it was made the way you like. You could test the shape, I guess, but the flex could be way different to what you get.

In tractor pulls, a 'full pull' is the best you can get. Ahh, how sport mirrors life.
 
I can only dream about DB skis... and wonder which ones I'd want if I could get a pair...they all look so awesome. Surreals, probably, but maybe Rs...

i would just be afraid that i'd request a certain flex pattern and it wouldn't be what i wanted.....i'd get a pair of surreals if i could only get one, but i'd really like to ski a pair of R's that are specifically park designed, cuz i bet that carbon gives mad pop if it's flexed correctly

I just finally got my pair of DB’s. There were some delays in production regarding getting the different colors to adhere to the carbon. They are here now though and they are beautiful and incredibly light. I asked for a stiff flex and I got it. I have been in contact with the guys at DB and they said they should have some available to me for demos in March. I live in Breckenridge and could let you demo them. Oh yeah, Next year we are going to try and do a factory direct demo program where people could order risk free, try the skis, and send them back if they don't like them. Hopefully we will be able to make it work.
