all carbon? they would be rediculously exspensive. like $2000 or so. atomic has carbon in some of their skis, but not a whole ski. the carbon would dampen vibrations a ton, if it works just like a carbon frame on a road bike. but, just like a carbon frame on a road bike, it would cost a couple of Gs
i think they retail for the same price as a regular high end ski (like $800)....the thing i though looked cool, besides the whole carbon thing, was that they could give you a custom flex pattern
I am actually a rep for DB and can probably answer any questions that anyone has. The first pair have just started shipping out and the performance has ben described as 'supernatural'. I can also get you 5% off by entering referral code 1321 in the order form. Email me deepdrysnow@hotmail.com if you want to know more. I can also arrange demos in Summit County Colorado this winter. They are incredibly light, and durable. Snowboard width edges and kevlar in the bases.
my waterski is made outve composite carbon. I dunno if it translates from waterski to ski, but i wanna give them a try. and they cant be 2000...my waterski is carbon (goode) and only ran like 1100, and thats alot more carbon then in a ski
