Anyone ever heard this or experience something like it? I don't want to go sit in emerg if someone knows what it is but...
All of today i've had this spot in the back of my head that hurts whenever i hang my head, shake my head, walk down stairs, etc. I guess the feeling is similar to brain freeze just without the cold, if that makes any sense.
Any ideas, I should probably go to a doctor but...

Haven't seriously been injured since grade 2 (18 now) and it wouldn't make sense its coming into effect now? I split my forehead open, 4 stitches to close...wasn't that bad.

could be a migraine (guys get them too)
I had one once that caused me to go blind for about 3 hours. I had to get a cat scan and all that to make sure I wasn't having an aneurism.
They are painful. I had one last 2 days once.

have you spent time inverted lately? like hanging your head over the edge of your sofa, or sleeping weird? thats what caused mine last time and its just like pressure on the back of your head, could just be some muscle strain or something.

Sounds like a migrane bro. Take both index fingers and rub in circles around your eyes. But not on your eyes, on the bones surrounding so start at the monobrow area and go over your eyebrows and around under your eyes and back again. Do this slowly and press hard. Do this and then get some rest. And if your still wake up with a migrane maybe go to the doctor.

recently? also may have just slept wrong, is it directly on your dome, or on the back of your neck branching to your dome?

I get pain from migraines in 3 locations.
right in-between my eyes... it feels like something is seriously trying to push its way out of my face.
then on the back of my head. You have those two ridges that kind stick up from your neck that connect to your head.. always either on the left or right about 2 inches where my head connects to my neck. And its the same sort of feeling... walking up stairs, driving, and standing up fast are particularly painful. Sometimes it eventually turns into a head ache sometimes it lasts for a day or two.

Dude go to the doctor, you are having head problems that aren't like a traditional migraine. It is just dumb to mess around with something in your head.

i had a bump similar about 6 months ago that also hurt, not badly though on the back to the side a little about the size of a paintball, i was at the doctor for shots and asked and it was a lymph node he said, maybe research that?

do you have any systemic infections or diseases going on right now that you are aware of?

how big is the spot you are talking about? is it a localized small area of pain or more of a diffuse broad pain?
