DR NS: SAVE ME

ok. so. monday night, im pretty sure i broke my nose snowboarding.frontside cork 540, overrotate, edge catch, extreme face plant.

i didnt think it was a big deal, when i first did this it hurt alot and bled alot. my nose was swollen as fuck, but that has mostly gone away. also, that night and through most of tuesday i had one pretty bad black eye, and one not that bad black eye, but those faded by the end of school, i went snowboarding Tuesday night, my nose wasnt even swollen anymore. i looked perfectly normal, no bruising, nothing, just a few scrapes on my face. i have been avoiding my mom since so she didnt see the swelling in my nose, but i thought today it would be gone.

its now wedsnday morning. im getting ready to pick my friend up to go snowboarding, when i look in the mirror while brushing my teeth and see this

do you see those marks under my eyes? those are very large, dark bruises.

why did this bruising happen so long after i initially broke my nose (on monday)?

heres the most important part of this thread. right here

if my mom sees my face like this, she will fucking KILL ME. i cant even begin to describe how much fucking trouble i will be in. she will probably take away snowboarding for the whole rest of the season.

is there ANY WAY i can make the bruising go away before 9:00 tonight? (when i get back from snowboarding) im willing to use make-up, strange indian herbal methods, uranium 238. whatever. to make this shit go away

im sorry if any of my sentences dont make sense, or if this thread is hard to read/choppy.

sparknotes: for some reason, two days after possibly breaking my nose, i have huge bruises around my eyes and the edges of my nose, where before there was only slight swelling. and i need to make it go away before my mom sees that ive broken my nose and flips out.

prob fucked up your sinuses which happens with any nose injury really. maybe if you were on a pair of skis it wouldnt have happened lol jk jk

sinus issues take a while to show up. i bet your head feels like its going to pop

go to walgreens and buy some cover up and go to town on that shit. then just spend time in your room or somewhere away from your mom until the bruises go away.

on a serious note, talk to your local pharmacist. they might have some advice. You wouldn't believe the type of questions we get at the pharmacy I work at.

those bruises aren't going away any time soon. I bruised my hip bad 3 weeks ago and its still yellow and purple in spots. Your best bet is to tell her you did it doing something other than snowboarding, even though i don't advocate lying. It's really only a matter of time before she notices so be a man and tell her straight up.

just fabricate your story into one that involves you getting run into by a little grom or something.

My limited medical knowledge leads me to believe that you did some serious damage.

It looks like blood is pooling in the area of trauma, and it won't go away any time soon.

Get that shit looked at or you risk hematoma, a condition in which hemorrhaged blood calcifies and it could leave you with one fucked up looking face.

well as one of many medical professionals on this site i suggest you take a needle, heat it up to kill the bacteria on it and carefully poke tiny holes in the swollen area. this will release the pressure in the areas immediately and will allow the excess blood in the area to drain. as for the nose, you can fix it with a simple rhinoplasty which involves making a small incision in the nose and removing the bridge of the nose. once that is done, you take a chizzle, insert it in your nose with the tip resting somewhere near up in your cavity (i dont think it matters where really). once done, you use a hammer to purposely break the nose to realign it. take some cough medicine before hand because i hear it can be slightly painful.

io had a virus of some sort once, and had a huge ring of bruise around my head for like 3 days, almost died . good luck to you my friend

i saw this, and was all "seriously guys, another?"
i was then happy to see i was not the only one that thought this
why would she take snowboarding away if she finds out you got hurt?

i would just tell your mom that you fell.. she will probably be concerned about you and not mad.
and then go see a real doctor.. not just kids on their computers

all you 100 people saying go buy skis are fags. and your mom is a bitch if she takes away snowboarding cause your hurt yourself.

injuries like this are common a few days after trauma to the face.
when i got my ass kicked this summer i didnt get a blood bag under my eye like you did until like 36 hours after the incident.
dont worry, they will go away in about 1-2 weeks hahaha

this, that, and the other thing

what the triple quote? anyways It would probably be best if you told your mom, there are possible long term effects that could come from this, and it is your face, so I would probably suggest that you get it seen and taken care of ASAP. Talk to your dad?

yeah, I'd go see a doctor, my guess is that blood is pooling into the area effected by the stress your nose took from hitting the snow.

it looks like a rare case of the ebola virus. CDC will be picking you up shortly to take you for quarantine, gl.

That wasn't even funny. A for effort though...

I'd just talk to some girls your age and have them give you a little makeover. And avoid your mom haha, make some plans.

just got back from shredding.

oh and the hospital.

thanks for the suggestions guys. it was all a futile effort though. i went snowboarding (i stand sideways and im proud) and as as i got home about 45 minutes ago, my mom saw me right when i walked through the door, freaked, and made me go to the hospital. which was fucking retarded. the doctor just said that i was fine. im still allowed to snowboard. which is good. but im supposed to chill with this girl friday. which makes my bruised up face kind of a problem. i saw that one post that detailed how to do surgery myself, and i think im just gonna wait it out. or maybe use some hickey removal methods on it or something. (this is the same thing as a hickey...kindof... i think...)

+k to all.

sparknotes: im fucking invincible.

i think it just bruised that way from your goggles putting pressure on the bridge of your nose like that when it was already swollen.

nah. i almost never wear my goggles, the lenses are scratches as fuck, so they sit around my neck all the time hahah

also, i noticed that the DIY surgery post was made by skiierman, somebody who i completely trust, so i now plan to execute that on myself immediately

hahahahaha you gotta be kidding me, i can not believe you were considering that post. no you're not invincible, just fucking dumb... skiierman strikes again.

Thank God for sarcasm. It's the purest brand of humor. Taking it away is like taking food away from starving children.

Either makeup or buy a mask and tell your mum your buddy bet you $100 that you wouldn't be able to wear a mask for 3 weeks straight or make up something like that.
