I'm trying to download a torrent from thepiratebay, but can't figure out how to open it and such. i have Miro and uTorrent. If anyone could teamview with me and walk me through it that'd be sweet. I'm running osx 10.5.8
if you get it set up correctly and running you'll get +k and a package of random items and possibly a paypal donation if i can't find anything cool to send you hahaha.
+k for any help.

Trust me on this. Download VUZE. You can search for torrents directly from the program and I have been more successful with it than I ever was with Utorrent.

Just make sure and stop seeding once its finished downloading.

Download a program called Transmission. Click the download link on the torrent, a little "downloads" window will open with the torrent file. Drag the file from the downloads window to the transmission program window. Hit ok download when it prompts you. It will notify you when it's done, then just add the files to whatever program you need them in. I.e. iTunes you go file>add to library then select the torrent files. Hope this helps!

Just download the torrent then drag it into UTorrent then if it's a movie download Perian so it will work. This is probably the most basic way to do it but try some of these other methods if you want, I have never done anything else other than Utorrent and Perian

Oh BTW I don't want your stuff haha I'm just trying to help you out, you really shouldn't need to offer anything to get help. If you try my method and need help PM me. If you try other peoples methods I hope it work for you.

Agreed but some people downloading vuze lately haven't been able to download full torrents. We could walk him thru vuZe though I'm sure

I never understood why people don't seed, you're just taking and taking. And OP, my only advise which doesn't solve your problem is to stop using piratebay. Check out isohunt and demanoid (limited registration).

Is it any of these?

If so, you're going to need to mount the file after extracting it in winrar.

Mounting- http://www.daemon-tools.cc/eng/products/dtLite

After mounting you're going to want to follow the directions on piratebay if they gave you any. If not, 2 of the ones of demonoid said after mounting you should copy Live 8.1.3 OS X to applications folder

and drag Authorize813.auz on live.app

I would do the previous step as a last result because your torrent could be different, as in this problem was already patched. So after mounting just mess around with it to try and see what works, and reading thepiratebay's comments helps as well.

the torrent has instructions it says i need to drag Authorize814.auz on live.app but i can't find the authorize814.auz file. i have it downloaded and i can open it, now i just need to authorize it, but i can't do that without the .auz file.

I Don't know very much about installing torrents once they are downloaded. There is usually a read me, if not check the comments. There is almost always directions from someone.

YES. Vuze is the BEST.

But if you must use uTurrent, just download the link, then open with uTorruent. Or just copy and paste the Magent link into uTorrent.

suggestions.

start>>search>>Authorize814.auz

or try downloading authorize814.auz I would post a link but I think that's bannable, so just google "authorize814.auz"

or just try uninstalling/reinstalling the whole torrent.

Upload what you download, you dick. Doesn't take much.

Movie 700MB?

Upload 700MB.

Piece of cake, dilweed.

When you are seeding there is a consistent connection with your computer.

Tell you what. If you want to download a torrent, and it has no seeds, and I happen to have said torrent. PM me and I will seed for you. Otherwise, suck on my Chinese nutsack.

StewartGriffin's teamviewing me and helping me set it up, we just redownloaded the torrent, waiting for it to finish right now. thanks for all the help. hopefully it'll work now that we redownloaded it.

i have no clue what the confusion is here. go to btjunkie.org or thepiratebay or something else like that. find the thing u wanna get and download the torrent file. open that in Utorrent. wait for it to finish. once its done, open it in Finder and you got what you wanted.

ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT
