Downloading Help

Ok, I'm not that great with computers but I know how to download stuff and other basic interweb skillz. My problem is that whenever I try to open a downloaded file, a window pops up asking my to choose what created the file I'm trying to open, but I have no clue what created my file I'm trying to open. For example, I downloaded Fuck! from eheath's vimeo planning on putting it in my itunes and from there onto my ipod, the video successfully downloaded, but when I try to open it up, that annoying window pops up asking me what created the file. I have no clue what to do now since I don't know what created the file( Fuck! edit). Any help/suggestions?

Any help would be appreciated.
 
That happens to me sometimes and yeah i have no idea what to do so my threads

thats because you dont have a program on your computer that can play a .flv

so your computer has to ask what you want to open it with

your gonna need a different video player to watch it

or a converter if you want with itunes

im not gonna get in trouble for links so google...
 
damnit, when I'm converting the video that stupid window pops up and is like holy shit we had to stop what you were doing, do you want to Send Error Report or click Don't Send if you wish to not inform microsoft about this problem. what the phuck do I do now? Oh yeah, whenver I try to open the converter from the shortcuts it won't pop up
 
same thing happened, computer froze for like 15 seconds then that message came up that asks you to send or not to send error report.
