Downloading Free Music

I'm too cheap to use iTunes. I've used mp3skull previously but it doesn't have a lot of the music I'm looking for. Also I have tried the apps that convert YouTube videos to sound files but that stopped working for some reason.

So what do you guys use to get music?

Yeah I feel guilty downloading any music for free, even popular music. I want to show support to the artists but, again, I'm just not going to pay the prices on iTunes.

Learning how to torrent is a skill everyone should have. Also, mixtapes off datpiff, free downloads on soundcloud, free 3 months of Apple Music, there's a lot of ways to get it done. But if the artist is someone whose just coming up, or someone who probably won't ever make it big and needs the money, just cough up the cash for their music, they put a lot of effort into making content that you enjoy.

for whole albums and discographys i use BitTorrent. for single songs i use http://peggo.co/ which records youtube and soundcloud tracks. plus they have an app so i can download straight to my phone.

>download, import, success

Works for albums too just search "Albumname Artistname Zip"

Except those bands dont really release live sets on the regular...sure the dead and phish do occasionally, but the rest are free. Dont get all agro now Heathybar.

Basically just trying to argue with you O Great One. Im bored at work and have another few hours to go. And Im not a fan of spotify or apple music. Honestly if Im streaming music I like the pure random factor that pandora provides.

I rather have my music saved in my computer, I know it sounds stupid but I love having my own folders with the album and their illustrations etc... also lossless music.

I mean, have you used spotify? It's literally what you just described, you just can't put the songs on a cd or mp3 player, but who cares? Whats the point of possessing your music?

Thats the deal breaker for me. I only listen to music on an old iPod Nano because i dont like carrying around a heavy phone in my pocket(it just feels super off), and im afraid of breaking it, and i dont like running down the battery so quick.

I only listen to music on the go- like my car, bike, skis, gym etc... places i dont have internet either.

Yes, i am behind the fucking times.

$5 if you're a student! I guarantee everyone here spends $5 a month on stupid shit, why not spend it on unlimited music where ever you go?
