I've heard all over the news that music companies have filed lawsuits against like 200 people that share music.

'Oh my god. it happened again! i got better looking' Boyd

shit its like 25 cents a cd and they jack the price up to like $18. its fuck the artist which most of the time dont write there own songs, not all, show up sing and get payed millions. and now those fuck asses are gonna sue us because we cant afford to buy their overpriced merchandise. so fucked

they arnt sueing anyone for downloading music - they are sueing people who are sharing 1000+ songs on kazza. only idiots share their shit in the first place.

id pay 25 or 50 cents a song if i could mix my own shit on a cd from whatever artists i want then get it sent to my house free shipping, id do this cuz CD quality really is better then most mp3s. i have about 2500 mp3s probably only 1000 or less are good enough for me to do that for so id pay 250 or 500 bucks for some of my music.

the record companys are just like any company they want MONEY MONEY MONEY... there not for the people there for A FEW RICH PEOPLE... the artists barely get anything from there sales... this is a good thing cuz if the artists start producing there own stuff with there own small record companys they will be able to lower album prices ALOT you could buy a cd for 5 bucks and the artists would be making more money then they were before... THE RECORD INDUSTRY DESERVES TO DIE... OUT OF THE ASHES WILL BE A BETTER WORLD FOR THE ARTISTS AND THE CONSUMERS and thats what its all about the people... not the RICH MOTHERFUCKERS THAT RUN THIS COUNTRY... stand up and fight mail your representitives, the record companys... the few people that are fighting back against the riaa in the court of law (some isp that refuses to give information to them i forget who but search on google and send them a letter with your support). ITS JUST ANOTHER CASE OF THE FEW RICH MOTHERFUCKERS vs THE MANY POOR/MIDDLE CLASS. dont confuse what side your on.

*Yawn* - nothing that hasn't been said before on the subject. They can't stop people downloading. The possibility of law suits will not deter most people. I saw Bowie on TV today saying that's it's bullshit, so there.

i was listening to the news today, and apparently some 12 year old girl is going to get sued.

and apparently you can get fined up to 150 000$ canadian if you get caught

we are not supposed to make the musicians go bankrupt thats what drugs, women, and cars are for

up to $150k for EACH SONG you have shared. damn so that means that if you have like, 7 songs you're already a million bucks in the hole. that fuckin sucks.

as said before.. they are trying to stop the problem at the source. The big file sharers.

They aren't as concerned about people who just download a few songs, but don't be ignorant to it.

It could happen. Unlikely, but it could.

Eat. Sleep. Breathe. Ski.

you can still share fairly safe if u just disable viewing of your shared folder, that means people can still download off you, they just cant get a list of what you share, so it makes it hard for the riaa to get much on you and there probably just gonna skip onto a easyer victim. if you disable sharing altogether your almost compleatly safe. and change your port just incase ur isp is in bed with the riaa scanning for activity on the defualt kazaa port.

oh hey, get this, apparently up here in canada the laws are different, so they cant get your name or anything over the internet. so i guess that i can keep downloadin in complete safety!

He who dares wins

ok, first of all, d.l music is not illegal, only uploading. d,l music is considered peer to peer sharing, and is perfectly legal. the only way it would be illegal was if you were to burn the tracks to discs, and then sell them. therefore, have fun downloading, just dont upload

i read an article in the Wall Street Journal about this yesterday. As stated above, those sharing over 1,000 songs are much more likely to be sued. Plus, they cannot sue you for downloading the music! I mean, how did YOU know that it was copyrighted? Now, if you are sharing, YOU are the one who is making copyrighted material available to others, and YOU should know that it's copyrighted if it's yours... So, basically, dont share. Which sucks, because if nobody shares, there will be nothing to download........

fyi...it's not b/c you don't know if it's copyrighten or not...it's b/c they aren't allowed to watch your packet streams w/o judicial consent and that's almost impossible to get w/o being the nsa. not to mention, if they did watch your packet streams at any level, it's considered a form of privacy violation and they could get sued for accessing a computer they do not have access to. which means they're fuct. you want fun, how about the 12 year old little girl they sued who lives in gov't funded housing w/her mom who paid $30 bucks to kazaa for use of the search feature...they thought the shit was legal. it hit newsstands yesterday and then early this morning they settled. the riaa is pos

i would strongly reccomend you all go and DOWNLOAD DEL 'DEL's NIGHTMARE' it is one of the greatest songs ever and its about how your record label is a slave master. music labels are so greedy its rediculous.

I'll cum harder than R.Kelly at chucky cheeze.

I'll take out your 'left eye' like TLC.

you all need to download 'peerguardian' it acts as a fire wall to stop the RIAA and there partners, i'll post a link when i get home
