Downlaod Shanghai six from totalvid.com

I wanna buy it but the download is only 4 bucks so I figure that would be cheap if it was just the movie without the box or any other garbage
 
totalvid is just corporate fat cats trying to make a dime off the hard work of smaller companys.
 
im sure its just an avi format.. but buyin it is way better.. you get all the bonus stuff.. the raw footy of keystone was sick.

totalvid.com is not stealing from anyone. They sell my mtb movie (The New Deal) any movie that is up for download is the the producer's consent. Besides I get a nice check from them every quarter and so does Josh.

butttt you should still just buy the DVD anyways.
 
i dont remember what format but if you DL it, the codec is temporary so after a week you can no longer run the file. so basically you only get it for a week, just like a rental, and there is no way to save, copy, or keep it either. sucks.
 
Yeah, downloads like this only last for a week max. That's why they are so cheap. It's always more cost efficient to buy the DVD in the long run anyway which is why companies and even the producers make a killing off downloads like this...people do them over and over and over because it's easier and they can view them "right now" as opposed to waiting a week and having it forever!
 
no. Unless you are stuck in a worldwide exclusive contract (ala VAS) then they will contact the producer directly.

They called me directly, I agreed, ran it by my distributor, they said OK, and then I signed the papers and sent it back.

With S6 they either called Ally and Ally ran it by Berman (because the producer is the copyright owner) or they called Berman and he ran it by Ally. Either way it doesn't really matter because nobody is getting ripped off.
 
I already bought 4 DVD's this season but not S6. This is a good way to check it out and see if you like it without buying first. He's not ripping off anybody. Hell maybe after "renting" it he'll go out and buy it.
 
i think some of you guys are missing the point. He's not stealing anything. He's paying for a 1 week download. If he hates the vid then it was only a waste of $4, if he likes it he can buy the DVD from totalvid for $4 less than the normal price (so like $16 or something) maybe the concept it too hard for some of you to wrap your minds around.
 
no, its not that people dont understand, its that this community likes to support company's such as level one through buying their products, allowing them to profit and therefore stay in business and continue to support skiing. although they do make money from totalvid, i doubt its as much as a normal dvd sale, so point is, support the film makers and just buy it.
 
i agree just buy the movie if you really want. and if you dont wnat it after you watched it sell it on ebay and buying it realy helps out level 1 so your doing more harm then good by Dl it

Haha, the point is, they don't understand because they come straight in and post "support the industry fag", when if they would have read the whole fucking thread, they would see it IS supporting the industry...you guys are rediculous
