no this dudes legit, and yes the site has gone downhill, but lets be serious, is there anything out there better?
 
this site has gone nothing but uphill in my opinion. With any internet site, you will have flamewars, just get over it.

You say its gone downhill, but what is your evidence for that? If you are going to give your opinion, give reasons. Just saying "the site has gone downhill." is fucking worthless.
 
we just all take it for granted... this site is really dope if you actually step back and think about it for a sec . but of course its gone downhill, you cant add 50,000 more members and have everything the way it used to be
 
content changed? how so? there is alot more info now than there ever was. Team updates all the time, mountain/park updates/a ton more interviews, that shit wasnt there before so how is that 'going downhill'?

I just think its lame that people rip on NS, when they wouldnt be able to even sustain an interesting website for one day. Dave is pouring his whole life into this site for us to use for free. There is no site that is better than NS in my opinion. If you want interesting content, get off your ass and write some then.

i disagree. the small personal feel NS used to have in the main forums have just moved to cults and regional forums. But the main forums provide more information now than ever before. I'd say that's uphill.
 
sit ehas changed alot......it used to have more of a useful ski vibe, like competitions and stuff about skis. that sorta stuff. now its like the myspace of skiing, and i feel that the majority of the website isnt core.
 
Ever notice that the average age of the snowboard population that hit jumps, rails and pipe is older than the equivilant ski population. I feel like every kid I see on twin tips these days is 12. A maturity level change might be a contributing factor to the general thread lameness.
 
Yea, I agree, there are alot more younger people on the site now and that is a big reason you see alot of lame threads, but fuck, we are all young and stupid at one time. Fuck, im glad a lot of young kids are skiing these days, it means the sport will be able to sustain itself in the future for a long time. I often laugh my ass off at some of the things young kids say on this site.

I wish I could have gotten advice from older skiers/people when I was younger, it would have saved me alot of trouble throughout my life. NS wasnt around when I was 13 though.
