Hey guys I was wondering if dfd's are any harded than Flat down Flats. I have never done a DFD before and theres a really sick handrail behind a school where a live. I can do FDF but im alittle hesitant to jumping on to down rails and then going to flats. Got any advice for me?

Thanks

they're not as hard as they sound, just be prepared for that flat spot...you'll need to compensate with your weight but if you've been sliding FDF's then I'm sure you can nail it

I think they're much harder, after you get on there's an abrupt kink.

down flat downs are harder because you have more speed when you hit the kink

Don't worry. Just do.

Easier said than done though.

They are a bit harder first off because you dont get a flat first, you get a down, and need to distribute your weight differntly. Get used to sliding down rails solidly.

The catching an edge thing is nothing, just try to keep centrered over the rail.

They're harder than f-d-f, mainly because the landing is on a down rail, which is harder than a flat rail, and I think the landing on to the rail is very important, if you land with comfort on a rail, you have a lot done. As someone said before, practice a lot down rails, then just be aware of the kink, but the most important is that you land onto the rail perfect.

my prob was when i jump on them, i start leaning back so i dont catch an edge on the flat, then my feet just wash out and i flip onto the snow backwards. it sucks hardcore! just dont do that.

Ive never ever done a flat down flat, Ive only done down flat downs or down flats or up down ups, or up flat down flats. or flat up downs, or down up flat. But never a flat down flat.

hmmm...

Just think about how it felt on the Flat Down Flat...you know what it's like from those rails when you come into the last flat part...this rail is no different...seriously

they are easier because they are faster. if you stay strong on the kink, you dont have to worry so much about the kink.

they are harder, but not that harder, only think that seperates them is u jump from the side onto the dfd and dfd has hard kink first so u ahve to keep ur balance after that kink for the down

Go into the down part with less speed because you have to compensate for the kink. Do the down with your knees bent regular, when you hit the first kink, use your body as a shock absorber and stay low, then as you moke off the last kink, stand up more so your feet are close to the rail so you dont get bucked off the rail, thats what happend to me my first time and you get bucked.

just go for it

the first dfd i tried i took too much speed and landed on the flat and still did the whole rail it didn't look good but oh well. just take less speedx on to it. you just need enopugh speed to get on it then the down will give you momentum

mommy ive been on ns for a little while and i always see your foolish comments all up in every forum when are you ever going to shut the fuck u are useless and obviously a dumbass with no life...i really dont hate anyone but you

jump on to it from the side, and lean forwards, when you get to the flatkinda of shift back and so forth (well that's the best i can explain it)

DFD are realllly easy. you just ride the thing without thinking of the flat, and you'll land it like a king...

They are not bad really because if you have done a FDF then you know how to go from a Flat to a Down and a Down to a Flat so it is basically the same thin but switched up a bit.
