Doubles on a hip

Have double flips ever been done on a hip? They'd probably look pretty tight.

If they have, can anyone scrounge up a vid?

that would be pretty crazy. room for error would go down a ton and scaryness factor would probably boost by a million

As said there was some doubles going down on Icer Air back in 08.I dont know if it was jacob doing them but since he won the comp it might be him.i think there was some other guy doing them too.. but cant really remember.
i tried to find some footage but cant find anything..

I DID THAT LAST YEAR!!!!!!!it was hella easy this year causeI DID IT LAST YEARso im amazing and you guys all suck!!!

dub flat would be easiest. easiest dub out of teh pipe so it would probably be the easiest dub on a hip.

WHAT?!? i think ur thinking of a lincoln loop. the only people ive seen do double flatspins in the pipe are peter olenick and mike riddle

i have pondered this often as well, even though the JOSS hip was really hard to maintain i thought someone would throw a dub flat and put it in their edit

maybe level 1 is using it for his segment.

even if they don't use any other shots from JOSS, it'd still be possible that's what they're doing

yeah, because filmers don't ever buy/sell shots...

think about it:

berman knows this went down, and all the kids on ns want to see it really badly.

so he buys (or has it given to him) it from whoever filmers were there and have a good shot.

kids on NS don't get to see it, so they have that extra little reason to buy level 1's movie this year.

don't try to tell me a producer of any ski film company doesn't know how to make good business decisions.

uh way to read too hard into the post you jackass. its as simple as this, if aj has the shot and its good, i doubt he's selling it to berman to use. why would he when he can put it in this years movie? sure he can sell it to him but how much do you get for a shot? you certainly don't know. it may not even be worth it. as for giving it away? that's just stupid.

been done last year at the kumi yama in les 2 alpes.

one of the collet brothers did a double rodeo on the hip.

Tyler Homen has got em'

DVS Commercial Immitation from Trent Palmer on Vimeo.

It's got a weird effect on it, but its definitely a double flair on a hip.

that looks like a quarterpipe to me. it could be a hip its just really hard to tell from that angle

What about one of the pettit bros. in one of the redbull skiing films from last year or the year before. Last segment, its a big ass hip in the whistler backcountry?

and anyone who thinks doubles cant be steezy clearly hasnt been around the last year or so.

for sure, i actually wouldn't care if those guys start throwing dubs, cus i know they'd make them look steezy as fuck

actually, it was not. oscar was doing 450's the whole time. In 08, the last year icer air took place, bobby brown did a kangie, or a dub flat 810 you could call it on about a 15-20 foot right side hip. It was ill, but i don't think he landed it or he washed out or somethin cause he didn't win. jacob did with a cork 9. it was a sketchy hip.
