Double time or no time?

Hello fello newschoolers

I am kind of new to the whole park scene due to the fact that at my hometown hill they do not really have a park, its all big mountain and fat pow days. But I am now living in the city and the small skis I have now are 100 waisted and I have never skiied anything under that.

Recently though they broke, the edge popped out and I mean yes they are skiable but I am in the market and I currently own a pair of one lifes as my pow ski, and I absolutely love them so I am pretty set on getting another pair of surface.

So my question is double time or no time? No times are 82 waisted which I know isnt alot different than 100 but I am wondering if I will notice a huge difference? Also, Total NOOB Question But, would a skinnier ski make my rail steeze better or does the width really matter? Then there is Double Times which are a 90 waist which seems better but I can get the no times for significantly cheaper so I guess my overall question is, will I notice a big difference in the waist of the ski? and should I just go with the no times?

-k for hate, so dont be a hater yo.

the biggest difference between the two is the stiffness, with the one times being much stiffer. if you do mostly jumps, get the one times and if you do mostly rails, get the no times. the width difference wont be hugely noticeable on rails.

It depends on what you want. No Times are narrow, and are super nimble on rails, but not as stable. I find a 90 mm waist to provide quite a bit more to stand on, but it does slightly take away from how nimble the ski is. If you want to do a lot of spinning/switch ups on rails, No Times are probably your best bet. If you want something more stable though, I'd go with Double Times.

i have both and i like the double times the best, idk im not the greatest at park. no times are probably a better only park ski, but thats debatable, i know people who like the double times better for park. double times are better on jumps and have more pop, both are pretty stiff and theres not really any difference between the two. if your just hiking rails/park all day the no time, if your using it for a mix park/grooms/everything. the no times will just be easier when you get to more advanced tricks on rails.
