is this true? thats pretty rediculous in my opinion.....i dont know about you, but i think misty 630 over a log onto a box to 270 out is a little bit tougher than a blind side switch up to front side switch up

LJ's probably just got voted down by the hundreds of internet enemies he's made playing counterstrike

misty 630 on is ridculous. Then to have enough control to 270 out shows that had to have been somewhat well done.

I can do double switchups on boxes and I don't even like rails

whose double switch up was this, there was probably like a million up in thur. if anything should have won it should be andreas hatviet segment for his all around slaying

Guys this wasn't just a double switch up on a box. It was a sick ass double switch up on a gnarly ass urban rail...

word, if you've seen the rail in person you know how steep it is and how hard you hit the ground coming off of it. LJ's was obviously nasty, there's no disputing that, i just don't understand all the complaining about this when you all could have just gone and voted for it in the first place... but either way, erik didn't just do another double switch up, it was a ridiculous double switch up...

if you disagree with the results, you should have voted. both were very very sick tricks and super hard. my respect goes to both.

yeah, it was crazy, i couldnt hear much of the awards.all i saw was tanner being stupid and hilarious, and the winners chugging out of shoes

wow, if its true that a same way double switchup on a down rail without any kinks beats LJ's misty 630 on (so that means you go blind twice and flip forward onto a rail) over a log, 270 out, its a sad day. im not really a fan of flips onto rails, but it is really hard, a lot harder than a double switchup.

double sw up on a down is way sicker than a misty 630 over a log onto a box, i mean get real, I'm surprised no one else thinks this shit is pointless and stupid

this is what competition does to sports like ours.... props to erik though, way ill even before there was an IF3 comp thing.

Both tricks were ridiculous in their own right. I didn't see LJ's misty 630 in person so I can't pass full judgement on how sick it was, but seeing the double switchup in person was absolutely mind blowing. Erik slid the rail right to the end after two switchups.

You havent seen the rail, it is big and long as fuck. I cant think of many people that could do that as clean as erik did.

the most ironic thing about these types of threads is that its never the people involved who care, its just random people.

who cares who won, they were both mad hard tricks that happened to get entered into a competition, props to both of them

oh, when i heard double switchup i thought it was on that burley quad kink in the rage teaser. why would anyone even do that on a down bar.

Both deserved to win. Honestly, a double switch up on a steep ass handrail to harsh landing is fucking incredible. Like I can't imagine even attempting that... and same goes for LJ's misty 630 over a log onto a box. They're both burley as fuck but honestly, I think John should have won just because I'm not a fan of dancing on rails, but damn it, I think the double deserved it.

Yes! I don't know how many of you have actually seen the footage with the way you're talking about the double switch up. It just wasn't on a flat rail or anything like Brandon said, it was on a steep, urban rail.

i think my cab seven small girl tap shoulda won. but i didnt want to hurt anyoens feelings by creating drama. so i didnt even enter. you can thank me later.

BOX, that was a box. When I hit the rail that erik double switched up, I made a crater on the landing because I came off so fast. Erik stomped it like it WAS on a box

Both of them seem extremely hard to do don't get me wrong. But a misty 630 onto a box and then having the mind to be able to 270 out. LJ should have won!

yo ol' PC buddy, I thought this guys ttrick was techer. But I have to hand it to the guy who dub swichuped the urban. That is suuuch a steap rail. And look at it really closely. This Erik kid rolls into it and right as he feels the lock, drapes his foot over so he can set into blind switch up. Sets extra hard so he can keep the rotation and then drapes again for the frontside. All sooooo quickly. That is a tech trick for that rail. Props to both of you. But Eriks was preettty tech as weell.

who cares? there really wasn't any award for the video contest, they didn't even mention it at IF3, both tricks are dope but in the end nobody gets anything so does it even matter?

On a side note the awards part of IF3 was a complete joke... Definitely entertaining to see drunkards making fools out of themselves, but I saw zero point in it all. It would have been more productive at the movie theater.

double switch up was dope! but LJ's was on a one of a kind set up.... and how many misty 630s have you seen over boxes?

gnarly ass urban rail? looked to me like there was full snow on one side and snow on the stairs....ahmets 270 to switch, switch lip pretz switch up, or switch to switch should've beat that double switch up. (ahmet didnt fucking MOVE on all those shots) PLUS no one has ever done a misty 630 to rail, let alone a 270 out of it. and before you say "no one ahs ever done a double switch up on urban" taylor felton and witt foster i know have done it, taylors was with stairs on both sides.

Champion-LJ

to box, but really who cares, any flip that you dont land on snow with is fucking gnarly, u only go blind once on a double switch up
