Double flips Vs Double corks

Double flips/flatspins have been around for a few seasons now and double corks seem to be hot this season. PK got first at KoS with a dub cork and Jon got second with a pretty sick double flip. What does everyone think about the new doubles we're seeing? I think they are both sick. Which do you all prefer to watch and do if you have the skills (i sure don't have the skills for dubs).
*and on a side note, since a bio is to a cork, what a front flip is to a backflip or a misty is to a rodeo if you know what i'm saying... would a double bio be possible at some point? I think that would be legit.
 
pk's double corks look sick as hell. wester's however, are hucked and tucked and gross. It depends on the person.

double fronts/backs have been around forever, they just are popular again. a straight double back is sicker in my eyes than a double flippy spinny thing.
 
I think double corks are better looking than double flips. I would love to see a double cork 7 sometime, and double bios sounds awesome! don't know how they would be thrown, but i'm sure they're possible.
 
Both are dope but i think that double flips are more respectable. like PK's or Mike Clarkes those are so sick!
 
personally for me i think watching someone like pk throw a sick double off a jump looks cooler but thats cause i know the difficultly level between both tricks. compared to a gaper that would prolly say a double cause the dont know what a corked is
 
they r both so sick but right now i think im digin double corks but if someone starts throwin some steezey dub flips then i dunno.
 
i liek doubles flips more to be honest. There are like a billion variations of corks when a dub flip is just one trick so this thread is pointless.
 
I like double corks better, I think they just look smooth and stylie more than flips, maybe I've just seen a lot of double flips though. PK's double cork is sick, and the one Michael Clarke did at the Nippon Open was very dope as well.
 
man i said they are both sick too! and it's not like a stupid hall vs dumont thread. I just made it because i wanna know what other ppl think. before, double flips were the ticket to a podium finish but now it seems like the judges are loving the double corks more.But to the other post up there, yes a double cork 720 would be ridiculous!And anyone else have opinions on the possibility of double bios?
 
haha i know man. i'm just mocking all the "stop these vs. threads" people. no hate here.

but i like dub corks more. they're original and way more stylie.
 
I have thought of a kind of "cork to bio" where you would go corked, do like a corked three, then sort of a flatspin in between, so you would be in bio position, head facing down hill, then bio three. I don't know if it's been done before, but I think it would be cool. If there was a possibility that I could ever do that, I wouldn't share it, but I hope someone with mad skills figures it out.
 
this si still one of the sickest looking doubles iv ever seen!!!!

someone would have to throw a dub cork so smooth and hold a grab all the way to beat this in my book...

 
Wow that is the EXACT thing i thought of when i saw this thread. that switch double flip is one of my favorit tricks in all the ski movies ive seen! It would deff take a crazy double cork to beat it.
 
I think pk's double cork is on a whole other level than jon's double flips, beacuse jon doesnt have a real grab, but pk hold his grab almost the whole spin, it is sooo much sicker
 
how about a switch double misty!! that would actully be so sick, i have only seen a few sw mistys. a double switch misty would be the winner for sure. (sw misty, i mean thrown like a non sw rodeo
 
sorry let me rephrase that, doubles are gay when it's not PK hunder doing them he has style in them, everyone else it's like O BINDING TOUCH! O SAFETY GURB! fuckin stupid, just do big fuckin cork 9's or something like corey's 9 in LSS, I'd WAAAAY rather see that shit then a gay double

and i definately would rather see a laid out dub back like tanner does in believe, than i would one of jons double flip/spin things.
 
like most people have said it depends on who it is! BBut i think on the whole dub corks are sicker than dub flps
 
I think its sick that durtschi asked if they look better in the park or in the back country.

Dropping hints about his banger segment in everyday is a saturday I think. On the other hand this wasn't that long ago. Just last ski season right?
