Double Flips on a Trampoline?

I thought about it and decided this could end up in either ski gabber or NSG, but I thought a better outcome would come out of Ski Gabber.

Anyways, dub flips. I really want to learn em on my trampoline. I can get a pretty high bounce on my trampoline when i jump off of my drop in. So what is the easiest double flip to learn? Tips are greatly appreciated.

Thanks NS

yeah, especially if you're jumping forward from a drop in a dub front would be relatively easy as long as you threw it hard enough

haha same here.

Bobby_B has a video of him doing a ton of double flips jumping off a ladder onto his rectangle trampoline, its nuts.

I just need to sack up and tuck like hell. I want to try it into a foam pit.

disagreed dub backs are easier, easier to land on your feet on a dub front but easier to flip on a dub back.

ya its more natural, dub fronts are just easier to spot your head around, dub backs you can actually spot your landing

my first dub flip on tramp was double front, its not as hard to commit just make sure you come around over your head on the second one so you can at least land on your back. then i would say a rodeo 5 to rodeo 7 is the next easiest, and its less scary if you can do a good rodeo. you can pretty much land anywhere through that rotation and be fine. then a double overflip is pretty simple. and then a double backflip. if you can do the sing for any of these, just go a little higher and stay tucked and you will be fine. its harder to break a rock than a stick.

Double fronts are the easiest, but kangaroo flips aren't that difficult. Just do a flat 3 to your back, so it's a 1 and 1/4. Then do it without even bouncing... just sorta jumping with no bounce. It's easy. Then you get all confident and just send it. less blind than double front, and easier to stomp. Misty 5 to blackflip or misty 5 to flat 3 is easy to. Just do misty 5 and over rotate to your back, then send it.

Take my advice and don't try a double off a drop-in. You will be off balance, and the end result probably won't be good.

Trust me man, im used to my trampoline/drop in bounce. Ive been on it for at least 2 hours a day over spring break. It just helps me get a little higher up.

I think he means, dont go for it on your first bounce. Bounce once or twice then when you are balanced go for it. Personally, ive seen too many double fronts turn into people putting their teeth through their lips, etc. I think double back is probably the easiest, but its all about which flip is most comfortable for you. Another easy one is misty 5 to backflip. Before going for doubles, make sure you are totally confident. Also it helps to try them and land on your back or butt a few times before trying to land it.

lolololol i found this in another thread

yea i can do them. You just got to make sure that you jump in the air and just make sure that you spin in the air, not off your jump. Yup once whe n i was tryin to learn them i did exactly 1 and 1/2 and jumped off the trampoline, ond somehow cleared my neighbors deck and then landed on my head and BIT MY WHOLE TOUNGE OFF. It eventualy grew back.

Commit. I've tried like two dub fronts and I didn't commit at all and just landed on my face. I'm too afraid to try them cause I just figure I'll puss out in the air and won't commit like I usually do. Just get the highest bounce possible (cross your springs, double bounce, jump from your swing set, etc) and commit to it and you got it.

on gymnastic/olympic trampolines i have done a lot of the but never dub fron or dub back. misty five into flat 3 is the easiest imo, think of it as switch rodeo to flatspin 3 or 5. dj spin isnt that hard either, i know kids who have a really easy time with kangs but i get a little scared when i do em. imho dont try a fucking double front first. there are a lot of other dubs you can practice with bed tricks with more visibility than dub front.

Can you help me clarify these?

Kangaroo Flip: What to what

DJ Flip

Hexo Flip

i forgot his other ones

kangaroo= flatspin 3 to flatspine 5

dj flip= dspin 630 to flatspin 630

hexo= switch rodeo 5 to underflip or rodeo 5.

definitely go for the dub front, but not on a crappy stock trampoline. I did a double front on an aftermarket, super bouncy tramp but landed on the ground unintentionally. definitley possible though

Yeah, you probably just didn't work yourself up to the level of doubles, you need to be confident with one and a halfs really well. Like do backflip to landing high on your back, then once you feel like you are slowing yourself down while doing that pull it over your head one more time...and tuck hard your first few times.

Another way of learning is like how you learned your first back flip, jump on your back then pull it all over, but instead of landing on your feet right away do a full backflip ontop of what feels normal.

Double fronts you just gotta huck and tuck for youur first few...

ive tried a double front before, but i got to the second flip and landed on my face.

im pretty sure i could get it if i bounced higher.

nah i could of totally did it if i didn't puss out...hahaha

i can land double fronts though, i think they're much easier.

for me id say double side flip like jump down take off sideways then double side its really easy to spot and then land switch

yea idk im havin troubles commiting

the first dub flip i tried was a dub lincoln loop but i nvr got it consistent enough and even tho backs are hella easier than fronts dub backs seem hella scarier then dub fronts

Dub Fronts are easier when starting out. Because then you can make sure you dont hit your head... also it may sound insane... but learn dub fronts off your knees. It makes it a lot less scary when you try the real thing. And honestly you dont need all that much air...

Then go for a dub back, and basically just learn by going really high and slow backflips onto your back. Then finnally tuck it hard.

Btw if you have access to a gymnist tramp, its a million times more fun. Lol last weekend I did a tripple front into a foam pit.
