Double cork banned

dont know if this is a repost but anybody else here that people wanted to ban double corks in snowboarding comps its really stupid

that would be interesting. i think whatever trick that everyone wants to throw to win should be banned for one year. so like when the switch ten was it you couldnt throw it that season or no double corks this year. just make things interesting.
or that might just be an awful idea progression wise. or it may just completely change the way people progress to mad style and very original tricks

i don think it has happend yet but there was definetly talk of it

for the question earlier in the thread it will only happen for pipe

I don't think anyone's talking about banning tricks, I think it's a question of whether double corks and flips deserve the credit they get. If they did have a comp without dub flips/corks it'd probably be a whole lot more interesting to watch.Creativity is always more interesting to watch.

terrible idea. whats next. required tricks? nope. keep it free not rigid with stupid rules

Maybe restrict it to 1 or 2 per run, pipe and slope, that way they still throw their best one or 2 doubles, and it will mean they gotta get creative with some slow steezy stuff?! I reckon it would suck if we got to the stage where people only threw doubles, skiing and snowboarding, yeh they are sick as hell, but so are flat 5 bow and arrows!!

correct me if i'm wrong but i believe a straight air is required in big snowboard halfpipe comps like the grand prix comps and the olympics

haha..people should worry more about their grabs, fluidity, jib runs, overall impression, and lines of tricks rather than everyone trying to do 3 dubs in their runs with mutes.

it's possible to do well in contests without spinning over 9.

It's fascist I tell you! Fascism on the snow!!

But real talk, it'd kinda be cool if they had one event where this happened though. Not all of them...
