Double Cork 7??

I've thought about this- has anybody done it? Or has it been talked about? It seems like a handful of pros could do cork 3-cork 3 with enough air time, or am I just retarded? I want Colby or Jacob to do this in their next segment so I can say "that might not be there if it wasn't for me!". I have a feeling I am missing something right now..

Talk away!

I would have thought so..

Sorry guys, this computer is real slow and I get an error message before searchbar results come up.

Still interesting that nobody has done it though.

Do you people not know how to fuckin read? He said he can't use the searchbar.

But I don't think it has been done but it would look really sick. What did Leigh Powis do in EDIAS that looked double cork 9ish.

I know what you're talking about- that was sick.

It's just surprising to me that the pretty simple concept hasn't been done before when what must be way harder tricks have been done lots.

And if nobody want's to talk about it at all I'll delete the thread soon..

marg's done a dub cork 9, i think someone attempted dub cork 7 and came close. j-bone i think it was. hopefully this rings some bells and someone can correct me

I have no idea what you mean by this. Do you really not see the difference between cork and double cork?

snowboarders have done them, i think sebastion toutant threw one in competition at the end of last season. him or tyler flanagan, one of the young guys.

i dont see why a skiier couldnt do it too. it would be hard as fuck but totally possible, and tech as fuck/

i posted a thread about this and the best i came up with was cork 3 to cork 5. I think its super hard to cork 3 to cork 3.....if you watch all cork 3's in videos. all of the guys land with there shoulders turned because its like an underotated cork 5. What im saying is by the time they start the second cork 3 there rotation would be all messed up already

you realize that this wont look like a "dubcork 7" at all, right? I think what youre all trying to say is that you want to see someone do a double sideroll, looking forward the entire time.

think about it, when you go off a jump doing a cork 3, your skis point upwards. when you land, they point downwards. its just like a backflip, you dont really complete a full flip because of those angles. in order to do a cork 3 twice in one jump, you skis would have to point upward again after the first one, and that will be pretty close to impossible.

I am pretty sure you are right. Dorey attempted but didn't get it. Marg has super sick cork 3s and dub cork 9s. He is also a pimp. My money is on him for first dub 7.

i belive skis point down in every trick that is landed dude. After completing a cork 3 you could still roatate another cork 3 but it would be difficult cuase you would over roate to a 5. it will be done im sure just give it time

Well wouldn't you see the skier looking back and spinning more in a dub cork 3 than dub barrel roll(that's the same as dub Lincoln right?), and in a dub lincoln its more flipping facing mostly forward the whole time.

damn, this is hard, now I get why it hasn't been done. I thinks it's from where you end the first cork 3 that might make it impossible to start the other by corking it.

There have been double flat 7s and double cork 9s that look like they could have been 7s. Specifically in EDIAS someone does the handdrag cork 3-cork 5... and in the credits, Martini does a dub flat 7. Pretty sure Sammy Carlson did one in an episode of Freeski Tv as well, along with Durtschi's in EDIAS too. I think a dub cork 7 is close to the point where it would be almost impossible to look like a double cork.

BTW, this took forever to write on a ZuneHD...

I really have done it. Its not that hard all you do is the cork 3 set extra hard and then you hve to really like snap your back out straight hard and it comes right around. Ill be posting my vid later but its really not that hard. the second cork is more flatspinish though so idk if what im doing 100% counts

i accidently did one on a trampolines. i was trying cork 7 "nose" (top of my foot) and corked the first 3, and was going not off axis, and then went of axis again when i grabbed........so scary and i can dub 10 so i know what a double rotation feels like

this is a dub 9 . dub 7 is just a matter of time :D

It can be done if its thrown like a double lincoln

Someone, maybe wallisch does a lincoln/cork 3 in refresh on some huge jump. If anyone knows the trick I'm talking about, that could be done in a double.
