Double and Tripples and stupid stuff

There has been a lot of talk lately about the direction

skiing is going particularly in the relation to Freestyle. This talk has been

about the new AFP, FIS, Olympics and style in particularly with doubles and

triples.

I have been in the mind set just like many others on NS that

doubles and triples are going away from the style aspects of our great sport. Recently

though I have came to some realization that this is not a matter of a trick

being more technical it is a matter of the progression of skiing. In order for

our sport to continue and to stay fresh there needs to be some awkward times

where things are not so stylish. There was a time not too long ago when rodeo’s

and 900s were not very stylish and seen as a more of a tech trick. There is a

time when these doubles and triples will soon be much more stylish, and your favorite

style skiers will be performing these tricks with the steeze you love to see. If

you would like to see some evidence of this progression see Bobby’s triple where

he has a real grab all the way through (even though this is not NS’s favorite

style skier). So, rests assure NS it will all be good.
 
Everything less than triples has been done a billion times all sorts of ways anyways! You can look at 10 year old ski movies and see some really technical, stylish, crazy shit. Where else can the sport possibly go??
 
i'd guess a bunch of little, less difficult stuff, just like rollerblading and skateboarding. went from hammers to little stuff.
