Really sick movie. Great music and great skiing from a lot of unknown kids who totally rip. Good pow, good park, and it doesn't drag on like claim. My favorite movie of the year .
 
except that the banger shot in the teaser isn't landed, the closing seggy is a hood edit, 90% of the shots are online, color correction is not in the DOS vocab, and ced's style is too much like rich fahey's.
 
Hmmm dont know what banger shot ur talking about, but yeah color correcting is hard. Dont know if you have had any experience tring to color correct a 35 minute movie. Its a rather long process, especially when its your first year trying to learn how to use Color. Not an easy program. Hood segment... Definitely is not 90%, but yeah its a lot.
And after saying all of that, I dont know how you have seen the movie since we didnt sell one to you.
 
Sled access is tough when you have to borrow them. We didnt have a set crew to film with until, ehh well actually most people we didnt meet until march. Tahoe didnt see a storm after january (which is the only place we had sleds).First year filming and making a movie.Both of us (two producers) were in high school last year, so were limited during the week.
Appreciate your opinion, and im not trying to make excuses, its just maybe you didnt know about us at all and thats how it was. Just dont want you or anyone to give up on us after our first year if you didnt think it was one of the best movies you had ever seen.
 
naw wasnt bad at all for a first year flick. hood was color corrected so looked great, but the fast forwarding look when shooting in a different FPS kinda pissed me off a bit. didnt look good.

Try not to come across as overly defensive as you are in previous posts. It's better to try and be as polite as possible when responding to criticism even if the people giving you the criticism may or may not know your situation. Even if it means you have to pull your hair out. Remember that everythin you say here is pretty much recorded on record from now on...

That said, I look forward to seeing your movie and will do my best to get the word out.
 
Hey guys, here's a few things I'd like to say about DOS Media:
1. Bentley started this movie this time last year at just 17 years old. 2. He and Cameron do all their own planning3. White balancing is easier than color correcting4. This is their first film5. Both of them are still in the learning process - and there's a WHOLE lot more to making a movie than just white balancing.6. They're picking up the business side of things faster than anyone I've ever seen - which means they are likely to eat/drink/sleep next year.7. Their riders all put in serious work8. They are generous letting all kinds of people use their sleds/gear to get these shots9. They did not have ANY $$ sponsorship for this movie10. I would absolutely purchase this movie. They're two young guys doing their absolute best while learning an industry most of you don't understand.
I spent a ton of time w/ Bentley this winter. He's not out there getting all fucked up and trying to live the life. He's killing it in school and making ski movies too.
I was pretty skeptical and kinda rough on Mr. Attabury this year. But here's props for putting together a solid film that represents the incredible talent of a host of deserving athletes. Next year is gonna be even better!

yeah he has a part. its really not that cool though because he doesnt do any switch or hardly ever gets the grab
 
its cause he wore some baggy stuff this year. just wait till he goes all tight this season... it will be identical. its not hate, just friggen weird.
 
Wow I feel like there is a lot of unnecessary hate in this thread... As it has already been established it was their first year, they worked hard, they had no financial backing, both producers were still full time high school students, and they didn't have a crew till nearly the end of the season. That aside, this movie is really good. It is one of my favorite AM movies, and I don't see how it could really get hated on. The hood edit does have a lot of recycled footage, but there's also new shit, and it's a dope segment. Overall I think the movie is definitely worth the money. It's priced lower than any of the other AM movies... Even if you don't choose to buy the flick, definitely don't turn your cheek on DOS, their movie will be amazing next year. Their first movie is awesome, and they are catching on quickly. Next year's movie will be off the charts!
 
I'm not trying to read this thread but the snowboarding is fucking baller. I'm all about skiing and snowboarding in the same movie, it's so legit and almost never done.
 
^word, i thought the snowboarding was great. actually the whole movie was cool, got me really pumped and my copy is in the mail!

Props to the guys out there doing it, death to the assholes like this clown complaining about unimportant things.

GO make your own movie if you care so much.
