why does it matter if addidas owns them, they make decent skis and their guys get paid a lot more than most other companies. people do have to make a living. and for those who don't remember, the teneighty started the whole twin tip revolution, so it's not like they haven't done shit for the sport.

Yeah Vinnie is taking a risk leaving Salomon. You know they must pay really well being one of the biggest ski companies. I'm guessing Vinnie is getting a oiece of the pie as a partner just like Steel and Niklas. That's good for him though. If the company does well then he'll make some good money. I don't see those guys leaving anytime soon though.

im sorta noticing a trend away from salomon. Sarah, Niklas, vinnie, jp, jf....all of em. I see this as a good thing. and whoever keeps asking why it matters if Adidas owns salomon...Adidas is a big company...who uses sweatshops to make products...its like saying, 'yeah i wouldnt mind if Mcdonalds or Microsoft made a ski'.

I think Salomon would be willing to do a lot to hold on to Candide, he's huge in France and the rest of Europe, and since Salomon is based in France, that just makes him even more desirable for the company. In other words, I don't expect him to leave Salomon as long as they've got a bank account.

skiings huge in japsn, shoya is huge in japan, salomon is huge in japan. why would they drop him. plus he is big over here sort of, and we all know if its big over here then they will love it even more. and about the sweat shops. k2( at least their snowboards), oakley and 90% of the rest of the companies use sweat shops. it keeps the price down. youll just bitch about the price next if they get rid of sweatshops. and adidas is sick. not their goggles but everything else. especially the old school tracksuits
