Dope things you should all see. 06-07 Snowboard Teasers

i may be the only one w/ this opinion, but after seeing alot of those, i really dont think they have us by much, its just watching something different, so we're not used to seeing it...i think alot of the trailers put together by ski film companies were much more entertaining

apparently Freeskier currently owns Snowboarder.

SNOWBOARD Magazine Enters Partnership Agreement With Storm Mountain Publishing Company

Hailey, ID (July 31, 2006) — SNOWBOARD Magazine is pleased to announce that it has entered into a long-term partnership agreement with Storm Mountain Publishing Company, publisher of FREESKIER Magazine, and will continue to publish issues for the upcoming 2006/2007 winter season and beyond. It was announced today by SNOWBOARD Publisher Mark Sullivan.

“It’s a very exciting time for all of us at the magazine,” said Sullivan. “This new strategic alliance will allow us to grow as a business and help us to reach our full potential.”

The new arrangement comes just weeks after SNOWBOARD announced that it would not be publishing its September issue due to financial constraints. The news spurred widespread discussion within the snowboarding industry and abroad.

“We had several interested parties, and ultimately we decided that joining forces with Storm Mountain Publishing and its team was the best way to go,” said Sullivan. “Our titles complement one another perfectly, and having the infrastructure and resources of a successful, independent publisher will help us reach the next level. Storm Mountain Publishing also shares our philosophy of contributing to the health and long-term growth of our respective sports.”

Bradford Fayfield, president & CEO of Storm Mountain Publishing is enthused about the partnership.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for SNOWBOARD and FREESKIER,” said Fayfield. “As independent publishers, Mark and I have faced similar challenges competing against the corporate media giants. This union will allow us to work together to level the playing field and take our respective titles to entirely new levels.”

The SNOWBOARD staff is already hard at work putting together Issue #1, Vol. 3. The number and frequency of the new season will be revealed shortly, along with updates on the progress of the partnership. Please log on to www.snowboard-mag.com for more details as the story continues to unfold.

“I want to thank everyone for their support over the past few weeks,” Sullivan added. “The encouragement of many people in the snowboarding community helped make this magazine happen, and without the help of all our friends, it would not be possible.”

by the way does anybody know if pierre wikiberg made a movie this year because lame and mtn lab are the best movies on snow i have seen period.

HA! Bikecar looks so dope.

And P.S.

I'll take any of those high quaality ones anyday over a ski teaser right now.

the bear mountain video, if it is anything at all like all the edits they post should be so sick. but i tried to get last years video and you cant unless you live there.

ummm hmm....

i'm 100% more stoked on..... near 30 of those teasers...than anything in skiing....show and prove/lss still feeling but not as stoked.

i heard hes working on a Travis Parker documentary but it might just be rumor. by the way its an auto biography no snow at all he just talks "snow boarding" abit

So, MORE is gonna rule over all other snowboard movies. Absinthe is so sick. They can show us up any day. So innovative.

i think snowboarding is awsome and all, but i think we have them beat with our video's, there is just more shit you can do on skis so new stuff keeps happening.

uh, I don't know, snowboarding jib-a-bility is way bigger....we just have some extra grab/cross variations.....everything else is basically taken from snowboarding...with minor minor exceptions.

They pretzel too, and from sweet angles/presses.....we took pretzles too....skiings look really dope tho.

Fountain from Robot is doing BikeCar...as you know.

Benedek is doing The Gap Session...with the rest of Blank Paper.

That's the most I've got.

yeah they do have more stuff with rails, but with jumps and other stuff skiing kills snowboarding, just in the last year ive seen soooo many new grabs and stuff, while with snowboarding there really isnt much more you can do.

thats why i dont like the snowboard teasers as much, its like all the same stuff just done better, while with skiing its totally new stuff, and better skiing.
