Dope new liberty logo?

The contest is held on facebook :(. It uses "likes" as a voting system so the logo with the most likes by July 1st wins. I'm pretty determined to win this but i guess some other guys have more facebook friends to rely on...
By the way, thanks for the post A.A.T and of course, +K to anyone that helps a guy get a pair of skis!!
 
Am I the only one who finds this contest very odd? You are basically admitting to your audience that you need help with design and then you are letting some random person come up with a logo that represents your brand? I feel like that is something you should handle in-house by the people who are a part of the company.
Anyways, I looked at a few and did not like any. Especially that blatant Statue of Liberty ripoff of the Akomplice T-Shirt. Liberty needs an easily recognizable text based logo that is able to be used on a variety of items from stickers to skis. Some of those were way too intricate to be a logo in my opinion.
 
Maybe they are trying to take the approach that ON3P did and let the people who ride their skis make the logo they want on them.
 
I believe it isn't a logo they will always use from now on, i think it's just for a plain design to be put on a t-shirt.

they could both be pretty sweet t-shirt designs....but logo? neither are really logo material if you ask me.
