Don't you hate it when...

LYSDEXIA-

is a specific learning disability that manifests primarily as a difficulty with written language, particularly with reading and spelling.

It is separate and distinct from reading difficulties resulting from

other causes, such as deficiencies in intelligence, a non-neurological

deficiency with vision or hearing, or from poor or inadequate reading

instruction.[1]

yeah. a little. i hurt my knee skiing, told my basketball coach i hurt my knee on a rail and hes all "oh so ur like shaun white"

Are people assuming that you're a snowboarder while you're on your skis? Because that would really piss me off.

yeah i do. every single person assumes that only because i do jumps and rails i must be a snowboarder.

yah some people just dont think that skiers can do rails and jumps too it can gets me mad but wateva

Valid question, but the fact that they don't know if you're skiing or snowboarding would qualify them as a gaper, IMO

all the time, people are always, 'hey did u go snowboarding the other day' and im like, fuck im a skier ok

I'd be stoked if I got that shirt,

I'd wear it while I was skiing. I want to get a shirt though that says the "skiing is for little fat kids"

nice try

sounds like dislexia which means you cant really read.soooooooooooooooo does sexlexia mean you cant really preform the act of sex?

dude, i hate it when they assume you snowboard, then you tell them you ski and they dont believe you and then just keep on talking about snowboarding... sooo not cool

No matter how many times I tell people I ski, they still ask if I went snowboarding over the weekend. I'll even come home from a day of skiing during the holidays with my skiboots either on my feet or slung over my shoulder and have my grandparents ask me how the snowboarding was. Yeah, that shit's annoying.

thats the way it is with me too. and when they see me do like a 360 in the pipe or slide a rail on skis their eyes pop out

that happens to me most days..except when im wearin my "I am a skier shirt" then people just assume im on a race team or somthing

i AM a snowboarder.

but the way i see it, snowboarders and skiers shouldnt hate on each other. we share the same love for snowshredding, winter, and having a good time whether youre on one plank or two. i can see where youre coming from though, nobody wants to be associated with shaun white. but seriously, why cant we all just make fun of racers?

no hate on snowboarders but how would you like it if someone thought you were a skier when you are not? or if someone called you a figure skater when you are a hockey player?

whatever man. the skiing community needs fewer of those kind of people. we don't want people to start skiing just cuz it's the cool thing to do. we want people to ski cuz it's fun and it's something they truly love.

doing something just to be cool is the worst reason to do anything

dude happens all the time.. i snowboard(ive recently started skiing, but its not common knowledge and i am known to everyone as a snowboarder) and i get asked "how was skiing" or "are you going skiing" its irritating but they're just words, whenever I hear it I just reply yes actually the mountain was dope, or yeah I'm going up the mountain, wanna come? Obviously it gets irritating to some degree when it happens repetitively, but you gotta think that its not a big deal, I'm pretty sure that 90% of the people who say it have good intentions and aren't trying to piss you off. Also, do you really think you're THAT big of a deal for people to remember and really honestly care whether you ride two planks or one?

well i understand what youre saying...i skied for a really long time, and everyone i go to school with is always like "hey did you go skiing this weekend?" and it drives me crazy. im always like NO, i went snowboarding! and then i get the whole "ohh youre cool cause you SnOwBoArD" when its not like that at all, so yeah it frustrates me too i guess haha

i work as a SKI instructor in Switzerland. i was waiting in a lift line with my skis on, in my instructors uniform talking to a snowboard instructor from the same ski school, and the little kid she was teaching tugs on the bottom of my jacket and says: are you shaun white?! i am also about 6'4 and have brown hair! i can see how he was mistaken!

i dont usualy have that problem, but what i do hate is when people refer to parks as

"snowboard parks" wtf man lol they put it on signs and trail maps

skiers rip it just the same

no huge beef though, im just sayin

^^thats gay i hate that shit, but i refer to everything as skiing, even my snowboard friends say skiing, i just go up to them and say hey want to go skiing, or they ask me its all good tho even if they said lets go snowboarding id still be like hell yeah
