the new one, I forget what it is called, is not as good, my main complaint is that you can not drag music into play lists, you have to alt click it and chose add to playlist which in my opinion is a pain in the ass.
you can open any song you have in garageband and then convert it to a ringtone and put it on the iPhone without paying anything. i have a feeling apple didn't want to make people pay for the ringtones but their agreement with the record companies required them to, so they integrated that feature into an app everyone has for free and gave us an extremely easy workaround. if you can't figure out how to do it just google "ringtone garageband" and you'll find plenty of blogs with step by step instructions. so there ya go.
Yeah I actutally discovered this not too long ago, I;m running Tiger and had the old GB, but borrowed an iLife 08 disc and set it all up, works great now, I'm very pleased with the solution..paying to ringers of songs I already have is retarded.
I thought this would end up like my story where I upgraded Itunes and my hard drive crashed:-( it was a very saddd day for mac users everywhere. But I did learn that apple has a bitchin warranty system and as long as you're nice to the geniuses, they'll hook you up.
