Well, he had to get the dogs to search your car.....which is pretty sick
If say you are in a real small town really far away from a major city, and the dogs from that city are busy in a idk high school doing a search, then the cop wont be able to get the dogs, and if they make you wait hours, you have a lawsuit haha
but yes, you had nothing, so it was probably pretty funny seeing the dogs come up! I don't do smoke weed either, (or any drugs for that matter) so I think it would be funny to get pulled over, drug dogs called in, then have my parents drive by and just laugh at me haha
That cop that said he smelt weed must have felt like an asshole afterwards, and probably got shit from his commanding officer haha

I do! I live in the middle of no where, so to see them, its amusing.
I'll never forget in high school one year, they were doing a search, told us we had to stay in our rooms for some bullshit reason, i forget now, but my french teacher didn't understand, so she let me go to the bathroom, I go out in the hall, and the dog is barking at a locker and scratching at it, then this huge black guy, probably six foot six and 300 pounds, walks up, and rips the locker door open! It was the most badass thing I have ever seen! (Disclaimer, I found out later they had already put a key in it so it was unlocked, but he wanted to look cool in front of me, so he pretended he ripped it open)

dont tell the police this isnt your first rodeo...they like to search your record and when they see you have a felony they go from being nice to fairly hostile and touchy

The supreme court has ruled that if a cop asks if he can search your car, he does not have the right to do so UNLESS you give him permission. *BUT* if you do not give him permission because it is your right to not have to endure that invasion, then that gives him the right to detain you and make you wait for the police dog to come?

When you get pulled over for speeding And it's raining out and the cop is getting impatient and asks you to hurry up, don't ask him if he would like to come sit in your car. Otherwise you will get a 12 point ticket for a whole bunch of stuff you didn't even know was illegal.
