DONT SUPPORT GRENADE GLOVES!!! read inside

gay, i got a pair of bob gnarly's and they're sick. I don't know any other park gloves company (i will not use scott gloves!). But that was a dick move by grenade...

Tom Wallisch uses Scotts

Seriously though most glove companies make at least one pair of pipe/park gloves.

their quality is shit...i had a pair that made it through 4 days before there was a hole in the tip of a finger...drop gloves are where its at

nah dude, they last just about as long as grenade. Ive found the best gloves have been kombi, got a pair this year and still use em, only the palms have worn out and all the stiching hasn't torn or streched at all, and they're surprisingly warm for a pair of pipe gloves

No, a photographer should be getting more than one useable shot a week, and then marketing themselves to magazines, companies, and other forms of media.

One shot a week? come on.

Beyond that, a photographer should know what their work is worth. A photo on a blog posting on some part of a company's website isn't inherently worth very much. A photo used for a spread in a magazine is worth a lot. A photog working for the right client and the right magazine could make 3000 with one ad if they knew what they were doing.

So true.

everyone who's interested in this sort of issue at all needs to read this post.

I think that CEO needs to be replaced. He is too sure of himself and doesn't seem to take things seriously. Plus his professional appearance/grammar and such in emails suck.

Actually any commercial use, I.E. blog posts on a companies site are worth a lot more than a full page shot in a magazine... A published shot a day is the absolute minimum if you want to just break even..... then again what do I know.

WTF, this is a disgrace tbh...
one of the comments on the article goes like this: The snowboard industry, the bike industry, the motor sports industry… It’s all the same. Opportunistic thieves thriving on the backs of others.
That's wrong, so far i haven't noticed any thieves in the ski industry.. and seriously i mean this! It's not meant in a way like: Oh i'm a skier, my industry is perfect.. if u get what i mean :p

Uhhh, I don't give a shit.

They make good gloves, this doesn't change my mind about anything. I'll stick with my Kombis and Grenades.

Fucking loser shit ass company...whahaha!

Not gonna buy their stuff anymore...like I ever would in the first place lol

Pred is a good friend of mine, I've been following this for about a month now but totally missed this thread. Thanks for all your support newschoolers.

It's absurd they can get away with something like this.

Such scumbag in the world, the photographer did everything he should have and everything correctly from what i see. everything that the ceo and stuff said in the emails would only dig the company into a deeper hole and make it harder for them to get out of without being sued by the photographer.

and their quality is shit imo, and the whole misfits thing looks stupid on outerwear products

I've been boycotting Salomon products for the last 8 years over a ski warranty they wouldn't honour. I still like to mention it online whenever possible.

I've never bought Granade product, and never will after reading you're blog page.

from his site:

"There are some complications between American and Canadian Copyright laws and long story short, I can’t afford to go to court with even a remote possibility of losing. Case closed."

And this is normally what happens, so thats why big companies get to fuck over the little guy. (Aside from the canadian/american complications.)

As an aspiring photog who has dropped dough on a nice-ish camera in hopes of someday making a living off of it, I have found this story to be eye opening. As I progress I will do anything in my power to cover my own ass. This isn't a scenario I had envisioned. I guess I thought that people were better than this.
Fuck Grenade, they just joined Burton on my Shit List.

for fucks sake grenade just pay the man some money.

its getting to the point i dont wanna put my fucking grenade gloves on this winter so i won't look like a douche
