Don't know if it's true and i hope not but slopestyle of the X games is cancelled to a big air comp

The slopestyle at X is probably the event that im looking forward to the most every year! I only hope they change the course a bit from last year and throw in some more tech rails for the riders to rape... And a bigger Money booter!!! fingers are x'd!!!
 
big air was so gay last year, "HE'S COMING IN HOT, 5 4 3 2 1!!!!!"

at least get better announcers
 
that would suck so hard big air is sick but i really like slope more but pipe is the best of the 3 imo
 
No, Jon just definitely isn't the best skier in the world. Shit I think there are definitely better jumpers too. And I would rather watch Collin ski than Jon any day... but thats beyond the point.
 
well that is a relief, i got worried that the most entertaining event would be cancelled. espn would do something like that too. hopefully they dont even bother with the big air and have a whole section for slopestyle where they kept cutting to skier x i believe? that event blows too
 
hate to say it, but i was there last year and i was super easy to get to the front of the crowd. there really was noone there but it was all because snowboard half pipe was starting after it and everyone was trying to get a good spot on the half pipe
 
seriously? who do you know that can shred the backcountry, destroy the pipe and jumps as well as have a legit chance to be in the olympics for racing? your ignorance amazes me.
 
Bishop if you're stilling reading this, here's my opinion on what needs to be done in the x-games:

Big Air- pshhh an 85ft step up last year?? we need somthing huge for guys to throwdown. I'm talking like Big Bertha @ the Candide Invitational. We need somethinag absolutley huge fo the riders to throw insane tricks.

Pipe- Nothing wrong, maybe the winners from both ski and board should have a pipe duel at the end. Just to prove that skiers own the pipe.

Slopestyle- Last year set up was alright, i think more unique jibs need to be incorporated , as well as having multiple options for lines instead of having the entire competition hit the same line over and over again.

Rail Jam- Someone mentioned this earlier in the thread. Summer X had a rail jam, and it was the illest competition i had ever seen!

Since your on the selection commitee (claim), i think you should maybe put some input about the games and what needs to be done to improve the sport as well as attract more viewers.

 
Anyone that witnessed the VT Open rail jams knows. Some of the craziest shit I've ever witnessed.
 
actually some pretty legit insight. I agree completely with you on everything, especially the big air. A ski/snowboard pipe battle would be fun to watch. Especially to have tanner or simon or jbone or whoever wins show up the boarders. The rail jam should have the most creative and sickest features ever thought of even though we all know twall would win
 
they realized everyone was just doing the same tricks over and over on multiple features and there was no reason they couldnt bring it down to just one.
 
wow Xgames is such a joke now. Slope is by far the better event, Big Air does not showcase a riders full ability whatsoever
