so we were chillin at breck on a warm spring day, just eaten lunch at the top of the park and this kid comes up to me. he must have been like 13 and he was totally gapered out. huge ass helmet, tight pants, goggle gap, rental skis, the whole nine yards. he looked extremely nerdy and his belly was hanging out of his shirt a little bit. anyways he comes up to me and asks me in a thick british accent wether or not i hit the jumps in the park. and i just looked at him and laughed and said no way they are way to scary. so this kid looks at me for awhile, sniffs his nose, and asks " are u being sarcastic" i laughed again and i said yeah, and i told him the trick was not to turn at all. he thanks me and taps his poles and drops in. i looked at my friends and they were all laughing waiting to see this kid eat shit.

he comes in to the first jump squirley and out of control. here it comes i thought, kids done for. he lifts off the jump and shakes in the air like a retard in water but lands the 50 footer. then he comes up to the second jump and agian i thought he was done. he clears the 65 footer. we all thought he crashed but then we see him coming up to the 80 footer, same thing, goes huge, shakes and bakes, but clears it.

ill never forget that shit, some fat kid from england who could barely ski cleared three pro sized jumps. i have seen so many gapers come to breck and fall short. they break bones, tear acls, and sometimes die. even good skiers come up short. two of my friends have blown acls to prove it.

but not this fat kid. he proved me wrong, and now every time i hear my friends being pussies i tell them the story.

i wish we had a 80 footer at my mtn, the biggest one is around 40...

i have seen quite a few people with that "style". i remember that we met some small kid around 8 years or so and he tried one of the biggest kicker (which has kick as shvt, youre almost as high as youre travelling in length (something like 30 ft table but you can get like 20 ft of height), he skied like he has been on skis for 4 or 5 days and he just went for that kicker and is just staying straight, he didnt move a muscle while in the air and he easily landed it.

needless to say that he was riding backseat, taking off backseat and landing backseat like hell, but somehow he did it, that just looked fvcking awkward.

and yes, after that me and my buddies did some 1s and 3s on that kicker and this little kid was just like "that cant be that hard".
 
Sw_Steeze, skis are skis ok, just because they fdont have a tip on the back dosent make them not able to hit a jumps. anyways, thats a pretty sick story, that would have been funny if he crashed though.
 
Uh for some reason I also find it hard to believe... honestly man, an 80 footer? There has to be some stretching of the truth there because 80ft. is huge.
 
I have dressed up as gapers to go into the park show up all the poser kids. First you gotta do some daffys and maybe a spread eagle then to a cork5 on the last jump
 
def. when i saw the kid i wanted to see him get hurt. i placed him right up there with the texans. i really like to see them go down cause they dont belong. they are all wrapped up in this extreme sports hysteria and come to breck with something to prove, and more times than not the jumps prove them, expect for the fat kid. it was hard to believe, but trust me this story is true.
 
wow your a big man, i hate gapers to but having fun and wanting somone to get hurt is sadistic, your fucked up. The only people who deserve to get hurt are people who hurt others and the way you set him up your one of them so now i Hope you blow your bitch ass ACL out.
 
whoa man. look gapers hurt real skiers. i have seen it countless times. they cut people off and sit on landings, and go off jumps when somebody just crashed. the gaper hate is strong in breck and im proud to be part of it.
 
He never told the kid to drop in and hit the jumps, he probably never thought by saying "yeah, the trick is to not make turns" that this kid would try to kill himself...would you? Chill out bro.
 
look guys im not that fat, and seriously, the reason i looked like a gayper was because all my shit got lost on our trip out
 
Did that kid hit you? and how can you not dodge a gaper when your cruising? yeah they hurt people but none of your buddies has be nailed by them right? the only way a gaper could hurt a good "loc status dick head brohan " like yourself is if your dumbass couldnt dodge him or he landed on you after you bailed on a jump.
 
yo cal skier how can you dodge someone that lands on you. alot of people crash and have to hike up and get their gear, when out of no where some asshole lands on you. i have seen it before. im with buff on this one. proud to hate the gapes.

haha when i was reading that story i was just waiting for you to say and then on the 80 footer he threw the biggest bak flip i have ever seen.

did i say you could dodge somone .. no i said thats one of the situations were some random kid could hurt you. other than that im sure you could didge them on the hill. I hate gapers to but i dont think its ok for womone to want somone else to get hurt.

pyramid is generally in the 80 to 95 foot range depending on where it's built. This kid still probably couldn't clear it because unlike a table, the landing is almost equal height with the take off so you need more speed and there is a mad compression.
 
there's this kid in our park with a sweet backpack who's maybe about 10 years old and he he skis down the whole park in the switch pie formation it's pretty sweet
