Don't hate the trick, hate the judging? YOU ARE WRONG!

Kamikaze, you are an idiot! First of all you didn't even watch the xgames so you cant knock them. second, you know nothing about judging. it IS the competitors fault that the same trick was thrown by almost everyone, it is not the judges job to tell the competitors what they want, especially at such high level comeptitions like the xgames, the competitors and judges know exactly what you talked about, STYLE, originality, etc. If someone throws a switch 7 and everyone else throws a switch 10, the person who threw the switch 7 very obviously does NOT know how to do a 10, at least from the point of view of the judges because the competition is the stage in which the competitor must show the judges what they can do.

come on now, all the pros can do pretty much switch 1080s, but by doing a sloy uber nice switch 7 they are trying to get their message out there that it shouldnt be spin to win.

im sorry, but its very obviously untrue that those not throwing switch 10s dont cuz they cant. the most definately can, most pros can do all 4 10s, at least the ones at X. the point is that the judges are not considering all elements of a trick, steezed out slow spins arent considered "better" by everyone yet, they still have the mindset of bigger is better. judging is a very difficult position to be in, but competitions will not be able to progress in any new direction without progressive judging that is open to more creativity.

I agree that a nice slow style spin is much nicer to looked at than a hucked spin. But in a big air competion, it is really the best trick you can do.

well yes they can and because you are completly out of your league with people who know shit here i believe it is time for you to get ripped apart by the Newschooers Noob Ripping Machine...enjoy

well they are trying to show the judges whos better so by throwing a sw 10 it shows that they are just as good as the other competitors

wrost. point. ever. I've seen Rainville (who did a 360 in the x-games) throw a sw. 10 many times before.

i dont think the problem has anything to do with the switch 10. The switch 10 is really an amazing trick. But it's like an overplayed song: the song must be good if it's played so often, but people get really sick of it after hearing it so much. If everybody at the X-Games had thrown slow 7s, we'd all be talking about how unsteezy slow 7s are.

its been suggested b4, but maybe we need 2 comps, one judged PURELY on style so we can see the really tweaked out slow spins.

i believe the people who choose not to do a cab 10 just dont think they can do one as well as others in the contest, thats why they dont throw them. the competitors, for the most part are going to throw in their mind what will get judged the best. some choose 7's becuase they think their syle will stand apart and compensate for the lack of rotation, where others think they have their style together enough in a 10. obviously schiller showed everyone he did have both, and thats why he won.

i believe that the judges r waked cuz gangier did sw 10's left and right and they both were perefect and he didn't get recognized all i know is that rainville is so dope for throwing the 3 and flipping off the x games
