Dont drink and drive

theres a kid ant my highschool who lost a leg to a drunk driver. its a miracle he even survived. he flatlined before he came to. scary biusness.
 
thats terrible stuff, I knew a kid who got his face smashed (literally) because he was in the back of a pickup and it rolled onto him.

I have friends who will drive home and barely be able to walk, one got a dui a few weeks ago. I always know my limit even if i am shitfaced I wait it out because even drunk I know that getting home or wherever right then is not worth the consequences if something happens while driving
 
Drunk driving is one of my biggest pet peeves, its the dumbest thing you can do and its fucking stupid. you can hurt so many people and its so fucking dangerous and not worth it. I don't care what you smoke/drink/snort/consume/inject/etc, but for god's sake get home safely and don't put your life or more importantly someone else's on the line.
 
ya but seriously, i'm just waiting for someone in my grade to die cause they are so dumb, they drive drunk like every weekend and it's only a matter of time before the roads start getting really slippery and they fucking wrap around a telephone pole
 
my uncle died because of a drunk driverit really pisses me off when my friends drive drunk and i beg them not too and that they can always call me for a ride but they still go about there ways. i just pray that no one gets hurt.

my friend didnt drive drunk but had i been in the car with him the passengers seat (aka shotgun seat) would have been completely collapsed and i would have been dead.
 
My high school did a reenactment of a Drunk driving accident. I was the fatality. I layed like that for an hour and 20 mins. It wasn't hard until my mom was scream crying over me.

I have more pics in a thread i made a while back. Heavy shit, a lot of my friends were pretty shaken up.

They knew it was fake but still seeing me pronounced dead, three friends get injured and one arrested is pretty intense.
 
my school does this too

they had fire trucks and everything come. they used to the jaws of life to tear apart a car with like 3 real kids in it. then one kid was out on the pavement (throw from the car) and had to lay there for like a hour under a tarp
 
thats sweet/sad though. wish mine did this just so some of the dumbass kids knew that there are consequences to stupid actions such as drunk driving. i just hate people who drunk drive, partiers are cool its always a fun time, yet i hate the drunk driving idiots

i mean seeing a car actually wrap around a pole, or a kid getting run over, or a guy getting nailed by a truck as he gets out of the car. thats not just some crash test shit its real(aistic?).
 
I really think this thread should be bumped every single day. I went to a school that had under 400 kids k-12, 3 kids in 3 years that my brother went to school with died because of drunk driving. And when I was in school, a kindergartner was killed as she stepped off the bus by a drunk driver passing on the right side of a stopped bus. Her Brother, Mom, and all the kids on the bus watched it happen. My uncles' house/business burned down because a drunk driver hit it and then the car started on fire.

As a firefighter, I've seen this shit WAY too much. I've seen dead teens, adults, and innocent people. I could tell you gory stories about what happens to a human body in bad car accidents. I helped cut a high school kid out of his crushed car after flipping off a bridge. He had a full scholarship to play football for a major school......he ended up paralyzed. It's not worth it kids.
 
people call me paranoid, but i honestly wont get behind the wheel of a car if ive had any alcohol in me. its just too big of a risk.
 
So because I enjoy PBR, means that I drink and drive, or support it? I'm over 21 and like beer. But that doesn't mean I do it irresponsibly. If I know that I'm going to be drinking, I get someone else to drive or don't leave. Or more often, I'll drink less, and I'll be the one that drives so I know everyone's safe.

Well the idiots in the video are driving on the wrong side of the road anyway. They most likely would of died even if they were sober.

Damnit, that's heavy to watch. Now I know again why I never ever drink when I have to drive...Let's just hope I'll never run into someone who is driving drunk...
 
It's not even just drinking and driving. IT's bad driving and poor decision making.

Some people drive safely, some people drive safe when drunk. some people drive like maniacs, some people whip around at 100 when there drunk.

Those roadblock dwi checks are completely unconstitutional. If somebody is driving poorly, you can pull them over. Stopping every car like that is wrong.

Just don't be stupid.

if someone is driving poorly, they should be pulled over. like, that's the point. as should drunk drivers. you can say all you want about how you're more careful when you're drunk, but if you always took proper caution and respected other people's lives as well as your own on the road (sober or otherwise) then there's absolutely no way you're being "safer" by being drunk. so don't even bother with that comeback.

...i'm part of the problem. i'm a good driver, but by no means the safest driver at times. but there's no way in hell i'm ever a drunk one.

try telling the families of drunk driving victims it's ok for you or someone else to drive drunk "because you're not stupid about it". give me a break.
 
Well what the fuck do you expect us to do? Sleep on some strange floor or couch? Fuck that, I want to get back into my bed and no one is stopping me regardless of how many people are stupid enough to get in my way. If you get run over, it's your own damned fault. If I can keep my car in between both white lines, then I can drive.

If you watched that video and still feel like making jokes, then I can tell you've never lost a friend... Or ten... To drunk drivers. You've never seen the mannequin that used to be your friend in a box. You've never held their mom while she bawled her eyes out uncontrollably.

Fucking hell, that video had me on the verge of tears. Holy shit some of you FUCKING CHILDREN need to grow the fuck up. I've been to a lot of teen funerals and I can tell you THERE ARE NO FUCKING JOKES TO TELL.
