Don't Diss Crested Butte

For anyone who knows how to ski well. Crested Butte is the sickest place you can go. We do have a new park this year, Okemo now owns the Butte and really put effort into the park. As for the steeps? I saw Seth Morrison on Headwall today, and that should speek for itself.

 
You would have to be quite dumb to diss CB.

ok first off Okemo didn't do shit for the park, it was all cb and their existing park crew who steped it up, had nothing to do with Okemo, if Okemo does do anything for the park it won't happen untill next year.

Flake is right. Okemo doesn't technically own CB quite yet. The CB park this year has been stepped up by the same people who've had lame ass parks for a long time. But, next year (when OKEMO actually takes over) I'm gonna guess there will be a superpipe and an even sweeter park. And hopefully they will revamp the whole base area. It sure needs it.

If your on the park crew then you need to step it up, its better than last year but you only had one way to go. Talk to the boys at Butte + co. they can hang and they ski all of the parks and know how to build em'. Next year step it up, I might be moving back there. P.S. the extremes were kick ass this year, first time I have gotten high with more than one pro at a time.

 
cb's park is the best maintained park I've been to. they changed it up since boarderfest offering a lot more options and lines, plus they have a up-flat-up-flat-down-flat

 
The second big table sacres me now. But I'm a pussy in the park so that's to be expected. For some reason I'll ski gnarly lines all over the mountain and huck myself off cliffs all day, but when it comes to park I lick balls. Every time I hit one of the big jumps I get all crazy in the air and almost break my shins landing. I need some park air awareness. Where can a i get some for cheap?

crested butte has some of the sickest terrain.... i was just there this year to go in the us extreme freeski champion ships i love that hill dude

 
when i was there the park was a dramatically improved, they r probably comparable to a park at Copper just not the size. The Pipe was incredibaly revamped and actually looked shaped. When we were there it dumped 37 inches and some pros were there. We saw seth and a couple of others out with the matchstick team since thats where they r located plus seths gf lives there.

that was after the new years storm, which was insane, i rode powder for a week after that storm. and by the way- the deal was closed in march, triple peaks llc (okemo and sunapee's owner) officially owns CB now. So far, the boundary has been pushed to open Teocalli Bowl and Fourth Bowl. Teo has been closed for a few years but Fourth Bowl has always just been bc terrain. The superpipe should be ready if not this year then next year. theres a bunch of other shit going down in the next few years too, lots of new terrain and lifts.

If carrots got you drunk, rabbits would be fucked up.
 
the only people that diss the butte are the ones who dont have enough talent to ski it. thats a good thing, keeps the crowds away.

'It was probably the most improved park in north america last year. That's mostly due to us getting up at fucking 8 am everyday and raking like monkeys, untill we were to baked to talk. Every now and then some texan would eat shit and it would be funny and we would call ski patrol on our radios. we would steal food from the base and cook it on our grill, then heckle people on the lift with our mega phone while we played frisbee across the run. and took naps behind the shack in the most exclusive hut on the mountain. o christ, best winter ever.'
 
i went there this winter and it was sick, plus it snowed like 10 inches one night and i had first tracks down headwall and spellbound bowl, which was pretty sweet
