just got a new pair of scratch fs's and i was waiting all week for them to come. they came and i was like wow cool new skis then i got depressed because i cant use em for another 4 and a half goddamn months.
so moral of the story: dont buy new shit in the summer
ya man a did that too and one day they were just lying on my carpet floor and instead of picking them up i ran and jumped on the but my foot sliped off and i cut my toe open and got my skis bloody
if you grew 4 inches in one summer thats alot I know one kid who grew 6 inches in just over 3 months and he had to get crutches because his muscles could not keep up with his bones.
and yeah thats what i get for livin in jersey the season doesnt start til about mid december unless you feel like takin a ride up to hunter or somewhere in vt you can get some skiing in in november
i used to get my new skis as soon as they came into stock in the summer. And then i'd be so excited to use them that i'd go glacier skiing and urban all summer. By the time winter rolled around they'd be thrashed. So now i never get new skis until late fall.
I just got bindings a couple weeks ago and they're pretty sweet. I was going to get some skis to go along with them, but the shop was out so I'm going to have to wait until fall and pay $800. Oh well, it's going to be a sweeeet setup.
the worst is when you buy skis and you get them right at the end of the season, you ride them once, and then have to wait all sumemr to try them out again.
