got my second pair this year 2 weeks ago and they are done already. good thing this winter has sucked with lack of snow cause i'd have a 6 pack of these shitty skis. they completely fell apart on me. again. and i've never had such problems with 1080 which i've had in the past. They lasted my 2 years.

This is my second pair and I'll never again ski on a brand that says it's for rider and by riders. that's horse shit. no warranty nothing.

what a joke. no... what a front.

Seriously, why bother with these small brands that say they are cool cuz their little...

Sure we're hard on the gear. That's what the stuff is for.

I'm gonna get back on Salomon. At least they stand by their products with good warranty's.

I don't care about graphics anymore and rider propaganda stuff after this Armada desaster

how did you destroy them? chances are you just fucked them up on rails and that's why you cant warrenty them. i've seen lots of skis in my shop and the armadas are atleast as durable and much more durable than most skis out there. and you're gonna go from an ar5 to a 1080. that just shows that you are a retard. i've ridden both extensively and the ar5 is far supperior.

seeing as some of the top riders in the sport are on armada i don't think their as terrible as you say they are, but then again ive never ridden on em.

because we're near the end of the season they are telling me that they don't have much inventory left. So I'm like (sweet) I'll get the new ones.

Plus I rode the Foils and they are killer. I'm so riding those next.

it's back to 1080.

 
hey carve_chemist. the fact that i've done lots of rails on the ones i've ridden and not fucked them up should say someting about their durability. what else is there to base durability off of? i just had a pair out in telluride and was skiing sick pow with them and hit some rocks and didnt even get any base scratches, unlike my friend with pocket rockets who had like 3 big coreshots that i had to patch for him

I ride hard snow not pow like you.

I'm bummed and 'just sharing the info and I never buying from that company again.

bad experience on Armada.

 
ive seen armadas with a foot of their edge fallen off from rails

I think i've seen just about every ski missing about a foot of edge...thats what happens...

and please describe exactly what went wrong with your armadas...all we got is that they fall apart, with no real substance of how, or what they look like, etc.

I was considring buying armadas but the sales men told me that every person she knew who had bought them had them brake. It's not that Armada is a shitty company it's jus that it's a new company and have little design experiance. I hope Mr.Hall reads this thread and realizes hes got some problems to fix. Sweet ski though.

 
this is my 3rd year on mine,

and i hit lots of rails,

alhtough they do look like they are about to go,

urban will destroy any skis super fast though

So you went and on one table they delammed? I'd ask you to give us a bit more information, but you don't seem capable of constructing a coherent sentence, so just don't.

Delammming is a gradual process that happens over a period of time. You don't just hit one table and then they delam on the spot. It's like saying 'Hey I did a disaster 270 and my skis spontaneously combusted.'

You say your favorite tricks are rails? I've got a newsflash for you buddy, slamming your skis onto metal bars all day is bad for them. They will get ruined, as will any other ski. That's why the warranty doesn't cover rail damage.

No ski manufacturer covers rail damage under their warranty and the fact that you believe Armada doesn't even have a warranty policy leads me to the conclusion you're a moron.

armada is the shit. the only problem i have had with mine is thhe top sheet being brittle. but other than that they are great skis.

I've been skiing ARMADA since the first season. (still on them)

IT IS THE ONLY SKI THAT I HAVE NOT BROKEN!!

I've got a good list from just about everyone INCLUDING the 1080's that I've broke. The only thing i've done is put an edge in the base of the first seaons AR5s and skuffed up the top sheet. Next years Armadas ski 100 times better than this season!

If the ski is a POS and truly did fall apart with out a rail involved talk with Tyson and He will get you straight!

the people who sell armada said don't buy them because they have no technologie and that alot of people fall apart i haven't ridden them but i don't think i will for a couple more years

I have to say your situation is odd. But you can't be so blind to the fact that Salomon, Rossi, and Dynastar are some of the most brittle skis on the planet.

The thing about the rider-owned companies is that you're getting a pro-level ski. That's why it takes most people a couple days to adjust to it. With other companies this is not the case. Did anyone notice at X-Games Pipe that Dumont's 'Foil's' were a little thin? Same with Jon's 'Mojo's'?

That's because they're different skis than they sell!!!

Again, your situation is odd, but I would highly recommend not turning your back on rider-owned companies if you want this sport to go anywhere or progress. There are enough rider-owned companies out there now, just try someone else!

OOO and i thought i wasnt goin to get a good laugh into tonite thank you. I ski armada AND Salomon, and u r right there is no comparison, armada is 10x better. I am not one the typical Salomon bashers either, but u cant say they are better than Armada at all!

Pete is currently sulking around Mt. Hood, shooting with Poor Boyz Productions and hitting on Kristi Leskinen. She hates guys, Pete lamented, so it’s not going good. Apparently Canada isn’t the only thing that’s tough for Pete to get into.

Being out there skiing every day, good or bad, just playing around with friends, with no contests or filming- that is the real spirit of skiing for me. that is why i started skiing, and if i lose those moments that is what will make me stop skiing.
 
Maybe if you didnt suck your skis would last. You cannot slam your shit on rail's you have to be gentle,there skis not tank's. There floppy so fucking so what, demo a ski before you buy it moron. Stop casing hits and maybe your shit wont break if you hit the tranny right you shouldnt even feel it.

whatever you buy make it a cor company, we kneed to get all the big rich guys who really dont care about us out of the freeskiing industry. trust me it would be the best thing for our sport.

 
I got Armadas after I broke my 1080s and got a store credit for it. Skied like 1.5 seasons on it.

Rails back seat landings and closed glades all I got is a couple of gauges on a base (reg. wear and tear) and a couple of chips on the top sheet.

Thats it. Solid ski all together and rides way better than the 1080s. Even those metal plates on my tails didn't come off even though that was the first thing I was expecting to happen. Cause every one said it will. And yeah thats the AR5 170cm Black/red 03/04 ski. I'll buy another one once I am done with this one (not anytime soon).

 
I think most people don't take very good care of there skis and thats why they fall apart.

04-05 are much better and they warrenty almost everything except rails I know guys that busted 03-04's and got next years and none of us have had any problems

 
Line skis are hard to break. Im 6'3'' 210 and still riding on some srappy 1260's (164 cm) and they havent cracked or delaminated so go try some Line

 
Armada does stand behind their skis... except for on rails and jumps... and riding in powder... and on catwalks... and when they are in ski racks on top of you car... but other than that they stand behind them 100%. Talk to Hanz get him to give you a new pair at pro form. then buy rossi salomon had shit foam core

 
qucik question. why don't snowboard's have the delam and edge problems skis do? Is it possible for ski companies to use snowboard ideas with skis?

 
they do , your just not a snowboarder so you dont hear about it as often.

i doubt its the skis u prolly screwed em up, i no some1 wqit em n barely gets any scratches jsut one core shot cause we think he landed on a rock off a cliff

ya my armada arvs delamed too right under the boot the side wall is seperating from the base and its not from rails cause i dindnt slid to many rails on those its just from like landing and maybe butering from all the flexing but idono why it would delam there

what happined to drugs, sex, & rock and roll...now adays we have aids crack and techno.......
