Dont Stop Competing after you make it big. No need to drop any names but I would love to see some of the guys that stoped come back and kill some comps!

how many successful people do you know that dropped out of highschool? that you know personally

Im pretty sure Turpin will compete again when his knee is better man...he has been having problems with it.

Uh, my best friend dropped out of school (never finished grade 8) because he'd rather play music and school was too stressful for him...anyways, within a few years, he now has a record label backing his demo, is signed with a fairly successsful band, and is going to tour with Rancid in the coming years...oh, and he's 16.

^ Tanner Hall's statement about leaving competition and just strictly filming is what I'm relating to this thread.

my bad i got served, i assumed you thought the thread ment him dropping out of school and didnt read the actual thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!k;dnfsld.

I don't think they really need to compete to prove themselves once they've reached a certain level. I think by stepping out of competition, the pros that have been around for a while are giving the up-and-comers a lot better shot at placing.

"if your dropping out of school for skiing you have to be good, Tanner hall good" -My mom

well theres a difference that i can ski...park is seen as a way to rise to the top and get money. ones your exposed, if you were more interested in filming and bc then you can go because you have sponsors. but many people that enjoy the park will stay on the comp scene instead
