The funniest thing about people crying about America's trillions of debt is that the grand majority of it is in debt to itself, so all this shit doesn't fucking matter at the end of the day. It's like if a Husband was in debt to his wife, while they both pay taxes jointly lol. Its all made up and the points dont matter.

The Chinese and Japanese own a very small amount of US Debt, so paying them off is negligible if it came down to it.. Other countries like Brazil or Luxembourg who have invested in US debt, carry far less and don't have the power nor position to get it back anyway if the US ever decides to tell them to eat it's star spangled asshole...

No matter who's president, the USA is just going to continue increasing it's debt forever and nothing is gonna matter at the end of the day.

[I can surely agree with most of your post. Treasury securities are rarely defaulted upon. the USD is the still the strongest currency on the planet. China knows this and will never immediately recall their debts at once because America and Europe are their best customers. The East knows that Western culture relies heavily on them for every day items.

The part that can be disputed with your post is the fact that America cannot operate without International trade and support. The fact that America relies on foreign oil is the biggest weakness within the country. BUTTTTT

The USA economy is strong enough to continually support itself. - Crop farming, oil / gas / renewable energy / etc. Its just a matter of putting it into existence.

There is no Domestic Economy anymore, the economy is forever international. We see and We know that now. But IF there is chance of being independent ---- it is America, Latin and South america, and Canada.

Yeah, just as much as the USA has dependencies on China, that goes both ways. Besides, we really don't need this much cheap chinese bullshit. There's plenty of stuff to pay for as it is.

The US's real achillies heel is the fact that its infrastructure has been so auto-dependent for the last 100 odd years, that people simply don't know how or what to change. They don't want to give up their car. They dont want to use public transit. They don't want their tax dollars going towards public transit because they don't even understand how to use it anymore, and they don't trust it to work better than stop and go traffic. This means that oil will continue to be required to ship goods and to get around in the USA for years to come. Trains are far more efficient than trucks and cars, but people just don't understand them anymore - despite America effectively being built by the railroads.

Electric cars are not going to save us, and they arent going to make us independent, because most of the lithium has to come from Chile etc, and there is too much potential for planned obsolescence within automobiles.

The USA is in a very strong position, but it needs to change it's infrastructure and redevelop it's cities for a future away from oil.

Exactly! Something cannot be indebted to itself and be obligated to pay itself back what it owes itself. Makes no sense. The majority of US 'debt' is held by the US and as a chartered self-funding corporation, it has all the money in the world to pay back its imaginary debt (excluding foreign debts) because it doesn't exist. It has no oustanding need to be pay back because its fictional.

Now tell me again about the budget and muh federal debt obligation but free dark money for DARPA, military projects, Israel, etc.

Yeah, it cracks me up whenever people run around scared about the national debt... claiming the USA cant afford this or that or that we shouldn't forgive student loans or send NASA to the moon because it's going to increase taxes or some bullshit.

It's always about the most negligible programs aimed towards assisting the not-rich that people seem to moan about while citing the national debt - as if it's ever going to actually affect them worth a shit.

There are states that downright rely on the federal government just to exist as they are... New Mexico and Arizona... West Virginia and Mississippi.. These places get INSANE returns on their tax dollars all while so many people there seem to be the types who moan about the national debt and crying about taxes lol. I mean states are basically broke. They cannot, or are not allowed to print interest free money thru indepedent treasuries and must recycle from taxpayer monies, and half of that is poorly distributed. And since the US is a chartered self-funding quasi-public private corporation, they can, and do, issue interest free US notes, not to be confused with federal reserve notes, to large commercial projects hoping for a future return that will stabilize the deflation/inflation curve. They can issue as much money as they want to foreign and domestic entities as well and the former would not impact the deflation/inflation curve domestically; being either issued at interest or interest free.

The whole point of income tax is nothing more than a tax on the economy to combat this cycle. All income tax is destroyed upon receipt and because our system, or their system needs exponential growth, they must figure out new ways to agitate that growth so as to not cause runaway inflation or its opposite.

Of course, the result always benefits the rich and powerful.

In the state and local microcosm, you have to think about the money supply, supply and demand and the economy. There's much too much financialization and stagnant money in zombie banks. The real economy today is fairly small and we live in an unsustainable make-work retail economy.

So how to fix it? Public banks are one option, though only a band-aide masking greater issues.

The next issue is student loans, with the "get off my damn lawn" people and "I ain't paying for your gender studies degree" people who certainly play a role in how forgivness is percieved at the plebeian level (but bailing out plutocrats is fine, apparently). What will this forgiveness entail? Will the government reimburse the creditors? Will it come from digital notes? or be written on totally different account books? Lots of people think it will come out of our taxes, it doesn't have to. As long as that forgivness can bolster the economy and stabilize the infl/defl. cycle, the people's welfare will be significantly better.
