Yeah eheeth I'm making an election thread. Let's gooooo Donnie going for another white house bid lol.

What do y'all think? Does he have a chance? Or will DeSantis take the cake? Or will Trump fuck over the chances of Republicans taking the White House?

Or.... Crazy idea.... What if Trump didn't get the republican nomination and ends up going independent. That would be kinda interesting shaking the two party system up, especially since independent candidates rarely win anything.

Do it, Donnie, you little bitch, you know you want to...

Trump is going to fuck over the election for Republicans. He is going to throw punches in the primaries against DeSantis, probably lose the nomination then throw a fit and threaten to run 3rd party which would result in the Democrats taking it. I am really curious if they are going to try to drag out Biden another 4 years.

That would be a poor decision for ole biden to run again..... But if he doesn't run I am scared that Kamala will and that would be even worse. She seems not to be liked by the independents and they could really shoot themselves in the foot with it.

I think that they might run Newsom. But once again seems like not a good choice. He only wins Cali because he is the incumbent Dem, and really isn't liked too much outside of that from what I read. They could lose the independent vote with him as well.

Its gunna be a fun 2 years of political ads though. Especially if trump runs independent. BRB gunna pop some popcorn.

Whoever wins both parties are beholden to the same corporate donors. So do you want to get fucked with a pride sticker attached or nah?

I have a feeling Trump is about to run into quite a bit of legal trouble.

Now that he officially announced you know they are going to fire up the team of lawyers to go after him.

God I hope not. He's gonna be too old. Trump is too old too. Also I think I've heard maybe one sentence from Kamala Harris in 2yrs and it was a botched interview. She better not run either.

There's speculation that's why he announced his bid in an effort to shield himself from that. Drag it out in courts long enough until he's immune again.

RIGHT BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T ALREADY INVESTIGATING HIM BEFORE.

I hope trump runs third party and inspires American to adopt a ranked voting system.

this wont happen, at least not right now. if trump runs independent, the GOP is fucked and they will likely do anything to avoid that situation, which could include making him the GOP candidate. The people who run the GOP are fucking cowards, they made this bed and now they're trying to get everyone else to sleep in it.

i think the GOP still has great a shot considering the democrats inability to give us a good relatable candidate

I've always had a weird hope that Trump could run as a 3rd party so we can start moving on from a bullshit bipartisan system. So outdated for our modern society.

I think thats a bit optimistic. If trump runs as independent, he'll lose and so will the GOP, no shot a republican gets elected if trump is independent. This could further bolster the broken system as the reps and dems will never let a significant candidate run unaffiliated again. But, maybe im wrong and it will actually start a new era of multi-parties but that would mean that trump would have to be successful in his independent bid, but we'll see.

This would be great, just hoping its not biden.

With me having that viewpoint, I think I have to be optimistic about it. haha

For sure, I think the USA would be great with a parliament or a vote rating system, just so hard to incite change.

yeah, I don't think much will change until its profitable for the right people.

Yeah the problem with that strategy is that the establishment republicans have been the ones shielding him from indictment in federal court over the maralago documents. He can say bye bye to that protection now.

Desantis is the future of the Republican Party whether Trump likes it or not.

Donald “greatest ally” Trump vs Ron “most pro governor” Desantis. Who will win? It really doesn’t matter.

I would rather see Bernie then any of the current options honestly. This ones going to be an extra special mess compared to the last two.

lol if only but bernie is too old and he’ll never win as long as stupid people think he’s a communist

Unfortunately your correct.

I’d vote for him a third time in 2024 if I could even though the DNC brunch libs are still going to be calling me a white nationalist for it.

mccarthyism still runs strong in our society there’s still no way bernie would make it anywhere

The problem with Newsom is that he looks kinda swarmy... I'll admit as much, and I've voted for him what.. 4? 5 times now if you count the stupid recall? I dont see Gavin rocking a Carhartt hoodie anytime soon... Gavin looks like he'd appeal to your upper-middle class voter in Scottsdale or whatever who thinks rhinestones are classy, but thats not really gonna get you far.

The other thing going against him, as well as Kamala, is theyre from the Bay Area and thereby, naturally seen as out of touch with many independent voters in states they must win - Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, etc. they need to win enough margins in the uneducated working class to gain ground in those swing states while still maintaining turnout in the cities - Sure they both totally appeal to the base, but they run the same risk as Hillary in that they haven't really sold themselves to independent voters.

They cant just go in punching hard with staunch liberal social policies while not offering them stability and status quo by being honest, upfront, and straightforward about their economic policies while standing behind them with the same gumption the Republicans do. They will need to take the Tim Ryan route of standing by their laurels and focusing hard on their economic policies while also keeping the base interested enough with social policies.

The Democrats have an issue in that a lot of their best candidates for a nationwide run have lost recently. Stacy Abrams, Beto Orourke, Tim Ryan... and a lot of the other people they have are just so damn milk-toast-boring - such as Tony Evers, Gretchen Whitmer, Tim Walz, etc... They're constantly searching for another Obama or Bill Clinton, but they're running with candidates that lack that level of mass appeal and enthusiasm, while also running with a headwind as the incumbent party and cant point the finger at Republicans for tanking the economy like they could during the housing crisis.

Personally, I think someone like DeSantis is pretty fucking boring and uncharismatic too, but the Republicans also have a lot easier time throwing red meat to the likely voter base than the Democrats. To many of them, its just 'god is great', 'guns are god', 'taxes and regulation are the devil', and 'which brown people should we nuke for their oil so we can keep watching nascar?'

Biden won last time not so much for his charisma, but due to his well-entrenched ties to the older base as Obama's VP, and his appeal to independents. The Democrats don't really have that.

if trump goes independent then that's it for the republicans. that would be kind of cool. then all we need to do is split up the dems and then we won't have a two party system anymore!

Can't wait for more fun with the 2 party system and the electoral college. 2 shitty candidates battle it out, and states I never want to live in decide the outcome. Tune in for more exhilarating news...

it's either a giant douche or a turd sandwich every time.

Didn’t Trump say in his speech that China doesn’t have a drug problem because if you’re caught dealing drugs you are tried and executed in the same day? Which is extremely incorrect, no surprises there

He also mentioned how our cities are cesspits of blood and death, which is great because I am tired of wearing waders whenever I go to NY or Chicago because of the knee-high blood and filth everywhere

Any good Christian should vote for Donald Trump. As a true man of god, he promotes gambling, has been divorced multiple times, and lives a life of excess with no modesty or humility. God bless the USA!!!!!

It's corrupt. I'm not sure why, but it is.
