Any of you guys seen it?? I think it's been out for a few years but it was on at a film festival down here and I saw it last Friday night. Freaky movie man, really well done. And for something produced by Drew Barrymore it was bloody amazing. Freaked me out, was a great movie! Anyone else seen it??

it is one of my favorate movies right now. i just got the DVD and watch it with the director and the kid who play Donnie making comments thought the whole thing and they pointed out so many things about the movie that you would never really notice. i think the movie is great though. really well written. i want to know how the director/writer came up with the idea for the movie, just cause it is so out there in some parts.

yah dude, it's pretty mad crazy aye, I thought it was great, good questioning of societal issues and values, it was really cool aye. What kind of things did they point out in the DVD??

the dvd points out tons of foreshadowing the you don't really notice. like in the Jim Cunningham informercials he pats the kids on the ass, and you later find out he is into kid porn. and when Donnie walks home with grechen for the first time he is talking about how he burned a house down when he was younger, and while he is talking about it he is right in front of Jim Cunninghams house, which he does later burn down. i don't want to give too much away. if you get the chance get/watch the DVD with the director/Jake Gyllalhall(or whatever his name is) commenting. also, you start to figure out different ways for the movie to work. it just makes the think about the movie in a bunch of different ways.

donnie darko is an awsome movie, really makes you think and freaks you out at the same time. the music is amazing also

I’m off on a rocketship prepared for something new

I’m off on a rok-it-ship ecstatic with the view

I am scared of the things upcoming

And I want for the things I don’t have

Cannot stand to be one of many

I’m not what they are

whoa, that's true as! I'm soooo gonna go rent the DVD now, man that wsa a good movie. I loved it when then dudes mom just walks in and then there's the huge CRASH, that's so cool, everyone in the theatre jumped, I was right up on the top balcony and watching 1800 people jump in their seats was pretty funny, hehe, but yeah, had the heart going, haha, good movie, loved it big time lots!

my friend's brother made the soundtrack for that movie, originally there was none then they had a contest to see who could make the best one and he won, confusing, but yes the commentary is the best commentary i've watched with a movie so far

Wierd, my bro just rented this movie for me yesterday and told me to watch it.

I loved that movie. At first I only ordered it because Noah Wyle was in it, but my focus was completely taken away from him and put into the story. It was such a fantastic film.

'My soul is a like a ruby

And I threw it in the earth

But now my hands are bleeding

From scrabbling in the dirt

And I look up to the heavens

And a light is on my face

I never never never

Thought I'd find a state of grace' - Joy by Mick Jagger
