Donnie Darko 2!!!!

Starts shooting may 18th, so on sunday they started shooting. Prob wont be out for awhile then.
 
i might be wrong..but pretty sure slandis' borther was using his account..or something like that..

but really..awsome, i cant see it living up to the first film..but none the less, im sure it'll be entertaining
 
I hated the movie. From a philosophical and science fiction point of view, it was great, otherwise, mediocre. Acting was terrible, and the plot didn't flow well.
 
man I think the exact opposite, the acting was good, but from a philosophical point of view its pure shit. now dont get me wrong I really like the movie, but you might not know the actual plot.

the dvd comes with this explanation, I can't remember the exact details, but the actual meaning behind the movie is very cut-and-dry. its way cooler when its open to your interpretation. in that sense, if you don't look up the actual meaning, its a good movie.
 
fuck that. donnie darko 2 are you kidding me? not only is it going to suck, but I will probably never be able to enjoy the real donnie darko as much either. they better be makin it daaamn good cause that is a stupid movie to make a sequel of, particularly this late. And by stupid I mean ignoring the business side of making movies, obviously they're gonna make a shitload of money off it.
 
I highly doubt that. Every highschooler in the nation will be off watching the next Seth Rogen film so they can laugh at jokes about vaginas (not that there's anything wrong with that).

I doubt it will be as good as the first, since it is not written nor directed by Richard Kelly.

I'm still looking foward to it though.
 
this is what i dont get. Samantha was killed on the plane. the engine that killed donie went through a worm hole and went back in time and killed him. she was on the plane with the engine, when they lost the engine she would have died in a crash so how can they make a movie about her?
 
emergency landing? who knows, an engine could go out and still crash land the plane I think...

either way it looks pretty stupid..following franks ghost on a road trip to LA or something? sounds lame..
 
WHOA TIME OUT BUCKO! I almost started to read that whole thing and I havn't seen the movie, give me some warning next time!
 
i didnt think the movie was that great.

like, it was a cool story and shit, but it wasnt anything special.

but nonetheless, im gonna see the second one.
 
fucking way over-rated movie, completely agree with titsLOL. guess they noticed everyone was buying the DVDs so they decided to make a sequel.
 
Spoiler for people who haven't seen it yet:

This is how it goes. When the plane loses it's engine, it falls through the worm hole which brings it back in time. At this point Donnie doesn't leave so he is killed. When he dies everyone is home so every one else is still alive. This changes everything because now Donnie is dead and his mom and sister probably don't fly out to Cali for the show.

I think... if that makes any sense.

I think his mom would live because the lady would not have to cover for the child pornography guy. and that bitch lady would die with samantha and the rest of the group. because if that plane didnt lose its engine donnie would have lived
 
or due to the death of her brother, she doesnt attend sparkle motion and mourns his death with the rest of her family. so the plane crashed, but she's not on it. remember it was pretty much next day after the incident were the girls practicing. i doubt shed even be at school the next day after her brothers death.
